Ever wondered how coaching can ignite your potential? I recently worked with a client who wanted to explore new possibilities for a project. Through powerful questions and active listening, we clarified their goals and tackled obstacles head-on. By providing a safe and confidential sounding board, I helped them gain clarity on their vision and the steps needed to achieve it. By the end of our session, they felt inspired and ready to move forward with renewed confidence. Coaching changes lives, and this is just one example. Curious how coaching can help you? What needs to happen? What might be possible? What resources are available? 👉 In coaching, “What” questions are powerful tools. Here’s why: They drive you toward clarity and action. Personally, I struggle with the term Coach. I find it uncomfortable. I worry about it being misunderstood, and that people believe the role of a coach involves telling or advising someone else how to think, feel, act, or live. So what is it? For me personally, coaching is about really listening, learning and doing whatever I can to truly understand the person next to me. Whether it be online, sitting with or walking beside them. Giving them the space they rarely have to deeply think and be able to articulate who they really are and why they are, without judgement. Understanding their challenges and what they want to work towards. It’s then about learning how I can best support them through that process. I think if I had to identify my top main #superpower as a coach it would be (next to some powerful tools of course) that I meet every person & every topic WITH ZERO PRECONCEPTIONS. And this means I meet ANY topic -no matter how serious sounding- WITHOUT FEAR. I am never worried and don't ask myself whether I have been trained or am good enough to handle xyz (I have been and I am and that is something I feel in my bones). But instead, I go straight to curiosity ... "So this issue xyz presents itself in xyz way- ok... let's see what we can find! ...I have no idea if it will work but let's find out!" And then we are like detectives and go and play, and experiment. And then, in 99% of all situations, something MAJOR shifts. I am convinced that it is the absence of ANY PRECONCEPTIONS about ANY topic that is one of THE most powerful foundations for a (life-changing) coaching session. What about you? What is one of YOUR greatest superpowers? #transformationalcoaching #lifechanging #coaching

Silence. You have to be comfortable with the silence .. especially when you are a Coach. This was my learning in the recent conversation with my coach. Such a wonderful thought - be comfortable in the silence when you are listening to someone, because this silence means, he or she is processing something in his/her mind. They need to face their inner storm all by themselves till the time it settles down. Give them that time by just accompanying in those silent moments. When you are helping someone with their transformation as a human being, this silence has a crucial role to play in your coaching sessions ... its part of that emotional tornedo which has turned their inner world upside down, so embrace that silence along with them. Let that silence drive the inner conversations and you just be there with them in those moments as a coach. #MagicOfSilence #LifeCoaching

Coaching is the most rewarding work I do. But even better is seeing that person get their reward. See them grow. Gaining in confidence. Unlocking challenges and doubts. Hearing them connect with their potential. As coaches, we don't do the real work. The real work is the individual going through change. In their goals, mindset, and decision-making. Its great to be a small part in their journey. Alec 👊

It's been just over a week of running the 🌟 60 day coaching project 🌟 with Danielle Chandler and today is the launch of our blog! We've had a lot of time to reflect on why and how we want to coach, as well as deciding to do this experiment, and we want to share some of this thinking. This post is the first of a two parter, where I give my perspective on the following questions: 💭 Why do you want to become a coach? 💭 Why are you doing this experiment? 💭 Are there any approaches or techniques you are hoping to use when coaching? 💭 How will you know if this project is a success? Next week will bring Danielle Chandler to the spotlight, as she shares her views as well! Check out the link to read more in the comments ⬇
