Motherhood is often portrayed as a picture of endless joy, unconditional love, and life-changing fulfillment. While this is true, there’s another side to motherhood that doesn’t always get the attention it deserves; the struggles, the doubts, the exhaustion, and the pressure. This is what I call “the dark side of motherhood.” As a mother, I have walked this path and know these challenges intimately. From sleepless nights to the constant balancing act of personal dreams and family needs, the journey is far from perfect. But here’s the beauty: every struggle holds the seed of growth. The process of transforming these challenges into strength and wisdom is not a one-time fix. It is a continuous journey, one that shapes us for the long haul. These struggles, while difficult, are also opportunities to discover: - New strengths we never knew we had. - Skills that allow us to navigate life’s complexities. - Resilience to keep pushing forward, no matter how tough the road gets. My Personal Takeaway; Motherhood is not about perfection; it’s about progress. It’s about embracing the messy, unpredictable, and beautiful process of raising children while growing and evolving as a person. To every mother out there: The dark side of motherhood doesn’t define you; it shapes you. It’s in these moments of challenge that we uncover our true strength, unlock our creativity, and realize the depth of our resilience. You are not alone in this journey, and every step forward no matter how small is a step toward growth. #growthserieswithgloria #motherhoodandcareer #EmbracingTheJourney

Happy Father’s Day! On this day, as I watch my son Nyan, now a grown individual with his own dreams and passions, I can't help but reflect on my journey as a father and the invaluable lessons I've learned along the way. Here are some insights: -Being a father takes you on a journey filled with highs and lows, yet amidst it all, the rewards are immeasurable. Providing a safe space for him to express himself has helped him build resilience and empathy, qualities that will serve him well in life. -Parenthood doesn't stop when the kids grow into adults. 🎈 Next week, I’m going to have a 3-year-old! 🎈 Three years of motherhood—a journey that defies words yet transforms every fiber of who you are. Here are a few powerful lessons this wild ride has taught me: 1️⃣ Matrescence is real: Just as adolescence reshapes identity, motherhood does too. It’s a journey of becoming, shedding, and rebuilding. 2️⃣ Perfection is an illusion: I learned to embrace my imperfect self. The goal isn’t to have it all together but to stay open, resilient, and compassionate towards the evolving “me”. 3️⃣ Self-care is non-negotiable: Like the airplane mask analogy, caring for myself isn't selfish; it’s how I keep showing up for my son with energy and joy. 4️⃣ Be where your feet are: When you’re at work, be at work. When you’re at home, be at home. This lesson has taught me that being fully present, wherever I am, is perhaps the most important skill of all. Motherhood at 3 years? It's the blend of chaos and heart-bursting moments, reminding me daily that growth isn’t just for kids—it’s for us parents too. To all parents out there, what’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far? Share below! 🌟✨ #MotherhoodJourney #LessonsLearned #GrowthAndGrace #Matrescence #BePresent #FromMeToWe #DoingItDifferently #RetunReady

The birth of my son Clay was a turning point in my life. My birth plan didn’t go as expected, and in that moment, everything I thought mattered faded away. What truly mattered was the health and well-being of my family. Architecture and business became secondary to our bond. ❤️👶 Life continued externally unchanged, but internally, my perspective shifted dramatically. I immersed myself in learning how to care for my son, and this led to a deeper understanding of my values and priorities. 📚💡 I realized the importance of emotional intelligence and the need to heal from past traumas. This journey of motherhood has been transformative, teaching me to balance my personal desires with the needs of my children. 🌟💞 Sometimes it’s tough to balance the different aspects of my life. My priorities can feel conflicting, and there are times when I choose to pursue my personal goals over what I think the best mother would do. Conversely, there are times when I pause my own goals to support my kids. In these moments, I lean into my long-term vision to stay motivated through temporary discomfort. ⚖️💫 Even during challenging times, like when my kids and I are sick, I’ve learned to leverage my resources and embrace my personal power to create the life I desire. Holding onto my goals and feeling capable of adapting keeps me focused and positive. 🚀✨ Motherhood has taught me that our priorities boil down to freedom, growth, and joy. By aligning with these values, I find the strength and motivation to be the best mother I can be, while also fulfilling my own creative ambitions. 🌱🌈 #MotherhoodJourney #PersonalGrowth #EmotionalIntelligence #TransformativeExperience #BalanceAndHarmony #CreativeAmbitions #FreedomGrowthJoy #MindfulParenting #InnerStrength

Have I Wasted My Life Having Kids? Absolutely Not. Motherhood isn’t just about raising kids—it’s a wild, transformative journey that shapes who you are today. Sure, it probably wasn’t what you expected (when is life ever?), but the rewards are undeniable. Reflecting On What Went Well From building patience you didn’t know you had to mastering multitasking and conflict resolution, motherhood has given you emotional growth and deeper connections that will last a lifetime. You’ve become a stronger, more empathetic version of yourself—worthy of celebrating. What Didn’t Go So Well? Let’s get real, though. There were definitely moments of chaos— impossible maths equations you couldn’t help solve, embarrassing tantrums, and haircuts gone wrong. But through these missteps, you’ve learned valuable lessons: There’s no such thing as the “perfect mom,” and failures are the best teachers, if we choose to learn from our mistakes. Opportunities For Growth Motherhood has forced you to evolve, adapt, and see the world through a new lens. It has pushed you out of your comfort zone and made you more resilient, opening doors to personal and professional growth. So, no, you haven’t wasted your life. You’ve embraced the chaos, celebrated the victories, and come out stronger. It’s been a crazy ride—but one you wouldn’t trade for the world. #Motherhood #PersonalGrowth #Resilience #EmotionalGrowth #SelfDiscovery #NoRegrets #ParentingJourney #WorkLifeBalance #emotionalintelligence #leadership #leadershipdevelopment

The Dual Journey of Parenthood: A Mother’s Womb and a Father’s Mind In the sacred dance of creation, a baby grows within the warmth and safety of a mother’s womb. This miraculous journey is visible, tangible, and celebrated. Yet, there is another journey, equally profound, that unfolds in the quiet strength of a father’s mind. As the baby develops, so too does the father’s sense of responsibility, love, and anticipation. He envisions the future, plans for the baby’s arrival, and nurtures dreams of the life they will share. This mental and emotional preparation is as vital as the physical growth within the womb. A father’s mind becomes a cradle of thoughts and hopes, where every heartbeat of the unborn child echoes with purpose. He imagines the first steps, the first words, and the countless moments of joy and challenge. His role, though often unseen, is a cornerstone of the family’s foundation. This dual journey of parenthood—one within the womb and one within the mind—reminds us that the bond between parent and child begins long before birth. It is a testament to the power of love, commitment, and the shared dream of a beautiful future. As we celebrate the miracle of life, let us honor the silent strength of fathers, whose hearts and minds are intricately woven into the fabric of their child’s existence. Their journey, though less visible, is a beacon of hope and a testament to the profound responsibility they embrace. Feel free to adjust it to better fit your style or add any personal touches! "Dreams without action are just wishes. Are you ready to take the first step?" We all have dreams- big, bold, beautiful visions for our lives. But dreaming alone isn’t enough. It’s the willingness and commitment from both and a balance of feminine and masculine energy. I learned this lesson when we failed repeatedly on the journey to embrace parenthood. It was scary and undefined. I tried every possible way, but the results didn’t show up and that’s the reason I didn’t know where to begin. But I took the first step to dream and shared it with my partner. Then another one and the steps started to progress and getting aligned with the purpose. Dreams become reality when you’re willing to act proactively. So, whatever your dream is- The willingness to become a parent. Start now and even if you failed multiple times. Have faith and restart again, you never know this time it will show up. Write a letter to the highest power you believe in, make that feeling flow, or make the call with a person you truly believe in. The path will unfold as you walk it. What’s one step you’ll take toward your dream today on the way to Blissful Parenthood? Let’s cheer each other on in the comments.

BE A CHILD As we grow into adulthood, we often forget the joys and simple pleasures of childhood. We get caught up in the responsibilities of adulthood and forget the carefree days when life seemed full of endless possibilities, when we never worried about the future, or anything else, but believe we will always have everything we want whenever we want them. However, it is important to remember that being a child is not just a stage of life; it is a state of mind that we can tap into at any time. Being a child means approaching life with a sense of wonder and curiosity. It means not being afraid to explore and take risks, to laugh and play, to make mistakes and learn from them. Children are not burdened by the worries and stresses of adult life, and they live in the present moment without worrying too much about the past or future. They find joy in the simple things, like playing with a new toy or spending time with loved ones. We can tap into our inner child and live life with more joy and wonder if we let go of our inhibitions and release ourself to be spontaneous. Take a walk in the park and jump in puddles, ride a bike with the wind in your hair, or simply take a break from the daily grind to unwind and do something you enjoy. You can also reconnect with your inner child when you embrace your creativity. Pick up a paintbrush or a pencil and let your imagination run wild, or dance to music without caring about how you look. Engage in activities that bring you joy, whether it is baking a cake, playing with pets, or building a sandcastle at the beach; cultivate a mindset of wonder and curiosity; spread your hands wide in the wind, and free your mind of everything that inhibits your joy and peace. Consciously live a life full of happiness and fulfillment. So go ahead, be a child, and enjoy the beauty and wonder of life. The sense of completeness is a deeply ingrained desire within human beings to feel whole, fulfilled, and satisfied in life. It comes from our innate need for connection, purpose, and meaning. Throughout our lives, we seek experiences, relationships, and accomplishments that we believe will fill this void and bring us closer to that sense of completeness. However, this sense of completeness is often elusive and ever-changing, leading us to continually search for fulfillment in external sources. Before #parenthood, this desire for completeness may manifest in various ways, such as pursuing career success, seeking validation from others, or striving for material possessions. We may believe that achieving certain milestones or acquiring specific things will bring us the happiness and fulfillment we crave. Parenthood can exacerbate this longing for completeness, as it's often seen as the ultimate fulfillment of one's purpose and identity. The arrival of a child is viewed as a significant life event that will bring profound joy, meaning, and fulfillment. Parents may believe that having a child will finally fill the void and complete their lives in ways that other achievements or experiences cannot. However, the reality of parenthood is far more complex, and the expectations set by this #myth can lead to feelings of disappointment, disillusionment, and inadequacy when the promised fulfillment doesn't materialize. In reality, parenthood challenges us to confront our deepest desires and expectations, forcing us to bridge the gap between the idealized image of parenthood and the messy, unpredictable reality. It requires us to redefine what it means to feel complete and fulfilled, shifting our focus from external achievements to internal growth and connection. How are you experiencing your journey of growth in parenthood? With gratitude, Dina #becomingaparent #maternalmentalhealth #postpartumjourney
