Don't you have hidden talents that you've never truly explored but instead have kept hidden for decades? As a child, I frequently engaged in writing poetry and drawing pictures of my poems—a creative outlet that I cherish deeply today. However, at the beginning of high school, this practice gradually faded away in light of life's responsibilities. Today, I'm excited to share that I've revisited this long-lost passion, and I've just published (on Medium) my first poem since those childhood days, marking a personal milestone and reminding me of this forgotten love for poetry. This journey back to my roots has not only been a rediscovery of my own talents but also a reminder of the importance of nurturing our inherent creative sparks, no matter where we are in life. 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝘃𝗹𝗼𝘃 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗻? Interestingly enough this perspective was never considered during my Psychology degree! 🐕 Dogs salivated when Pavlov presented them with a juicy steak. 🥩 Pavlov paired the arrival of a juicy steak with the sound of a bell. 😮 After some time, repeating the above process, he discovered that the dogs would salivate at the sound of the doorbell, without the steak being present at all. This is known as 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 and here are some examples of how we may be conditioned: 🤯Someone else's phone chimes - we are conditioned to associate the sound with reading a message 🤯If you eat something that makes you sick - you might never eat it again and the sight of it may make you feel ill again 🤯Xmas music plays in a shop - we are more likely to buy things - makes sense why this nonsense starts in early November 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗱? 🐈⬛🐩🐇🐀🏇🐁🐈🐕🦺🐍🐟 𝘓𝘦𝘵 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘨. Let’s from ice cream.   A plain ice cream tastes good without flavour, just that it might not be acceptable without the signature of a kind of flavour. Adding different flavours to it changes the definition.   A plain ice cream can turn chocolate, vanilla, banana and all sort, depending on the kind of flavour added. As long as it tastes nice, nobody bothers about the original form of the ice cream.   Same way it is in our society these days that people enjoy whatever a man displays of himself, in as much as it feels good. Nobody cares about what is called original anymore. However, the identity of many groans under the flavoured life they live.   There is always an original form of every man, called His true identity. But many hid their original identity in order to be acceptable by the world (society), just like the ice cream might not sell without hiding its originality under flavours.   A man can hid his identity under, job, fame, fraudulence acts, prostitution, and whatever is accepted of him either by friends, family, immediate society or the world at large.   Men settle for whatever is acceptable by the society while their true identity groans daily. A man can settle for any identity as much as he feels comfortable with it and can tolerate it.   Irrespective of whatever is laid down by the society as the measure for acceptability, there is always a true you who you should not give up on to live a fulfilled life.   Trying to be like anybody or what the society wants is simply proportional to throwing yourself out of God's plan. Why? Because who God needs to fulfill all He planned and wrote concerning you is you, I mean the original you.   God needs you to be you so that He can use you for His eternal purpose.   Everything of you is useful and needful but the world might not see that at your early days of appearance and tend not to accept you.   My dear, you can only convince the world when you know and stay being who you are.   It’s a new week to be yourself.  #mondaymotivation #ghostwriter #topwritingvoice

Our mission at Write with LAIKA is to make "good AI". Some people think that's a conundrum. Disruption is, after all, always a violent process. What does it entail to amplify the parts of a technology that lead to change without destroying livelihoods and the planet? What does the way into a sustainable integration of artificial intelligence into everyday life look like? Concretely, what are we doing to push for "good AI" at our company? Here are some things we do: - We've measured our CO2 output in order to understand how much energy we are using. We're on track to become twice as energy efficient as GPT-4 (except they don't publish their numbers so we have to rely on research about those being reliable and also we need more users for efficiency to kick in). - We've built a system that always uses the smallest model possible in order to be as energy-efficient as possible. We use fine-tuned models in order to make up for the thus limited general reasoning abilities. - We've consciously built with AI not to replace the creative part of your job but to support you in creative tasks. Our goal is to make humans able to express themselves even better thanks to AI. - Our system is designed to not replicate any parts of its training data – so even if there were copyright issues with the data (which we have no control over), the output is very unlikely to retain those. - Our content policy maximises personal expression (within reason) in order to facilitate the creation of cultural products, art, personal pieces, disruptive manifestoes and all other areas of prime humanity. We think culture is the highest good humans have. - Privacy is crucial for your digital life. That's why we go to great lengths to protect it, never using your data for anything that's not for you. We don't collect data for training, we don't even store your data for any longer than absolutely necessary. - We think you should own what you make, so everything you create using our tools is yours. That even includes the models you fine-tune using our services. - Building communities around our interest lead us to start the AI Founders Meetup in Copenhagen, where we gather like-minded individuals. There, too, we advocate for ethically sound practices around AI. Generative AI is not going to disappear again, and neither will we have the same jobs in 50 years, as we have now (AGI, on the other hand, is a mirage that you should not be concerned with). I am not a Star Wars fan but "with great power comes great responsibility" is a great line and we should always insist on accountability. We can build a better world by actively managing the changes that this disruptive technology brings to society. An active process of steering, involving a lot of stakeholders, instead of a free play of power – or at least a solitary effort at building something good. Sometimes I think we're naive, but maybe that's a necessary condition for everyone who wants to be a force of change in the world.
