Ever had your phone or laptop die at the worst possible moment? For most people, the topic of chargers is the furthest thing away from ever being considered exciting. However, when you consider the majority of us own multiple devices to help us navigate our daily lives, I would consider chargers to be one of the most overlooked necessities in the modern world. Yes, you might be able to pick a cheap and cheerful option online or at a local convenience store, but not all chargers are made equally. Using the wrong charger can cause damage to your device’s battery, leading to costly repairs or replacements in the long term. DICOTA chargers offer peace of mind: • Safe and Approved protocols: We use USB Power Delivery (PD) and Qualcomm Quick Charge (QC) technology for fast, reliable and secure charging. • Prolong Battery Life: Proper charging protects your battery, extending its lifespan. • GaN Technology: Our growing GaN charger range offers superior efficiency (up to 3x faster) in a more compact and lightweight design vs silicon-based chargers. • Multi-Device Charging: DICOTA chargers can charge multiple devices simultaneously meaning you can keep all of your tech topped up whenever and wherever you are. Myth #3: Batteries should be run flat before charging.🔋 Do you remember the old mobile phones that would mysteriously die at 30%? That was thanks to nickel-cadmium batteries, which developed a "memory" and refused to charge past a certain point. This led to the modern-day myth that we have to fully drain our batteries before recharging. 📱 Fortunately, most electronic devices today run on lithium-ion batteries, which no longer have memory issues. Some of the more modern devices are even designed with battery management features to help preserve capacity. 😀 The problem now however, is capacity fade. The more you charge your phone, the less charge it can hold. This issue is unfortunately made worse by "fast charging", which not only speeds up charging, but can also speed up the degradation process!⚡ Our advice? Slow and steady wins the race. Charge overnight, let your phone take its time, and enjoy a longer battery life. 👍 For more advice on how to look after your tech, speak to our IT experts on 01245 455 510. 📞 Stay tuned for more IT myths to help you stay informed! 😎 #itmyths #technology #batterycharging #phonebattery #fusion #fusiontechnology #itsupport #manageditsupport #managedit

A Charging Debacle Can Make Your Cellphone Catch Fire! If a charging battery or overworked processor becomes too hot too quickly, it can ruin the chemical makeup of the phone's components. With batteries, a chain reaction called thermal runaway can cause the battery to generate even more heat and eventually catch fire or explode. zutBe. charging accessories are built to charge your mobile devices quickly and safely. Our devices are SMART and moderate how much electrical energy is transferred to your device to prevent it from overheating! We protect your family by building with the best components possible! How Lithium Battery Drain Happens 💭 In some instances, you may get what seems like a rapid drain of the power in your batteries. When this happens, it is likely due to environmental conditions, physical battery damage, or too heavy of a load. 💭 Environmental conditions to avoid for your smartphone and other battery-powered devices include extreme temperatures and areas that are too moist or too dry. Batteries can sustain damage if used or charged improperly, so follow the manufacturer’s recommendations. Also, your device may be drawing just enough from your battery power pack to operate without enough juice to refill the batteries. If you use a portable power solution, ensure it is correctly rated for your device’s power consumption.

GaN Chagers VS Traditional Chargers Do you know the differences between GaN chargers and traditional chargers? 🌈GaN chargers offer higher output power, typically reaching 65W. This means they can not only charge your phone but also power your laptop. 🌈GaN are compact—about one-third the size of traditional laptop chargers—making them incredibly convenient to carry around. 🌈GaN chargers are generally more expensive than traditional chargers. But what exactly is GaN? How does it allow for higher output power while also reducing the charger’s size? The key difference between traditional and GaN chargers lies in the type of switching transistor used. Traditional chargers typically use MOSFETs as their switch, while GaN chargers use GaN transistors. When GaN transistors are used, it allows for the use of a thinner transformer. MOSFETs, which are used in traditional chargers, have a high parasitic capacitance, which limits the switching frequency. As a result, chargers using MOSFETs can typically only reach a switching frequency of around 150kHz. Any higher, and the heat generated would exceed safe levels. On the other hand, GaN transistors have much lower parasitic capacitance, allowing for much higher switching frequencies. The higher the switching frequency, the smaller the transformer can be. This is why GaN chargers can use slimmer transformers. Combined with the stacked and optimized design of other components, GaN chargers manage to maintain high output power while being much smaller in size. hashtag #GaNcharger #fastcharger #65Wcharger #wallcharger #phonecharger
