This annual community conference was hosted by CenterPoint Energy and United Way of Greater Houston. Power Tools for Nonprofits brings together experts from various fields to share their knowledge in fund development, best practices in human resources, management strategies, marketing/public relations, organizational effectiveness, leadership, professional/career development and more. Michelle and Christina attended to gain insights and advice for Amaanah. What does ‘expansion’ mean to you? Does it mean promotion and handling responsibility? Does it mean serving more, having more influence or impact? Does it mean more recognition? More seniority, more power? What would the humanitarian sector look like if we did not need that kind of validation or proof of our expansion to get more donations for our cause?
