I was invited to apply for Leadership Scholarship in an online business school, to go for an (Executive) MBA. (I know it was not a personal invitation and that I just match their profile criteria, but still.) 📘 By coincidence I got this book, “the personal MBA” by Josh Kaufman from a friend a week ago, and although it’s not the latest edition and maybe a bit outdated, it’s still an interesting read. For years I’ve thought about going back to school and was looking into an online Masters program a few years ago to advance my career with a degree, but I certainly wouldn’t pay thousands of euros to get an MBA, and Josh Kaufman has just reassured me on that. A couple quotes: 💬 “Let’s say you go ahead and get your MBA. If you’re “lucky”, you may be hired by a big financial services or consulting firm, where you’ll have the privilege of working eighty-plus hours a week for around $100,000 a year. The money is certainly good, but you’ll have a hard time maintaining any sort of life outside of work, and the pressure will be intense and relentless. Even if you don’t like your job, you’d better keep pushing if you want to pay your tuition bills and make your investment “worth it”. Congratulations: you’ve used your intelligence and drive to condemn yourself to the life of an indentured servant.” 💬 “If you’re more interested in working for yourself or holding down an enjoyable job while having a life, getting an MBA is a waste of time and money. As Dr. Pfeffer says, “If you are good enough to get in, you obviously have enough talent to do well, regardless.” “ ❓ Do you have an MBA? Was it all worth it? (I’m not trying to be sarcastic, genuinely interested) ➡️ As always, I’ll keep on learning, growing and enriching my life in other ways 🚀 #businesseducation #learning #continuouslearning #thepersonalmba #mba #businessdegree

I’m so proud to share that after a year of full-time study at the University of Strathclyde, I’ve been awarded an MBA with Distinction! As an added honour, my fellow Graduand Rahul Vipinachandran and I won the Deans Award for Best MBA Capstone Project, which was a deeply rewarding experience. This journey wasn’t just a challenge—it was an epic battle, both emotionally and mentally. With only a handful of school qualifications and no prior university experience, stepping into this uncharted territory felt daunting. After decades of building ventures—some on a global scale—the daily grind had worn me down and stifled my creativity. I knew I needed a change, a way to step back and find a fresh perspective. For me, the MBA was more than just earning such a tough qualification—it was THE ultimate reset. It gave me the chance, once again, to step outside my comfort zone, reassess where I wanted to be, and truly embrace new ways of thinking. Looking back, i have to say it is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, both for myself and my future. On reflection, one of the most important lessons I’ve learned is this: Only ever surround yourself with people who lift you up, challenge you, and inspire you. They’ll help you see your true potential and push you to achieve things you didn’t think were possible. For anyone thinking about making a major change or pivot, no matter where you are in life, remember: possibilities are found in the cracks of the unknown. The fear will always be there, but the rewards are more than worth it. I’ll never regret this decision, and I encourage anyone to embrace those moments of discomfort—that’s where real growth happens, and where the fun begins. As George Bernard Shaw wisely said, “Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.” #MBA #Transformation #EmbraceChange #StrathclydeMBA #GrowthMindset #NewBeginnings #Resilience #ChallengeYourself

🎓 Delighted to share that I've officially graduated with an MBA from Thompson Rivers University! 🎓 I am deeply grateful to the entire Bob Gaglardi School of Business and Economics faculty and staff for their unwavering support and guidance throughout this journey. Your dedication and expertise have been instrumental in my success. While theoretical knowledge is essential, my MBA journey extended well beyond that. It involved practical experiences such as working on real-world business challenges/cases, participating/representing TRU at BC MBA Games, helping peers tackle complex problems, and working within diverse teams. These hands-on experiences taught me invaluable lessons that surpassed what any textbook could offer. My MBA journey has been an incredible adventure filled with both challenges and triumphs. Through rigorous coursework in courses like Project Management & Consulting Methods, Forecasting and Predictive Analysis, Decision Analysis and Modelling, and Managerial Statistics, I've developed a robust skill set that has equipped me for future success. These courses have honed my analytical and strategic thinking, crucial for tackling complex business problems. Coming from a tech background, the MBA program has significantly broadened my perspective and enhanced my skill set, preparing me for future challenges. As I embark on the next chapter of my career, I am filled with excitement and determination. The skills and knowledge I've gained during my MBA will undoubtedly pave the way for new opportunities. To anyone else pursuing their dreams, remember: "The only limit to our realization of tomorrow is our doubts of today." - Franklin D. Roosevelt Stay tuned for what’s next, and thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way! #MBAGraduate #ThompsonRiversUniversity #Gratitude #NewBeginnings #MBAJourney #Networking #ProfessionalGrowth

A very busy year, what a way to end it!😂 As I wrap up the first year of my MBA journey, I can’t help but reflect on how far it’s brought me. This semester has been the highlight, with 100%, 98%, and 94% in Design Thinking & Innovation, Corporate & Business Strategy, and Entrepreneurship & Innovation Strategy Exams 💃🏽💃🏽. It’s not easy studying as a full time employee but MBA is so interesting and fascinating🔥. These results feel like a true testament to the effort, late nights, and passion I’ve poured into this year. Next year, I’ll be tackling my MBA thesis, and I’m looking forward to applying everything I’ve learned so far. To those who skipped my surveys and interview requests this year; you’re on notice for 2025 (and yes, I’ll need your support more than ever)!😅👌 PLEASE!! Here’s to pushing boundaries and making the next year even better. #MBAJourney #DesignThinking #InnovationStrategy #CorporateStrategy #LeadershipDevelopment #GrowthMindset #LifelongLearning #MBA #ContinuousLearning #HardWorkPaysOff

"The risk you're afraid to take might be the one that changes your entire life." Looking back, I never thought I would pursue an MBA. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I was confused and leaning toward a short 6-month business course. But something in me decided to take a leap of faith, and I went for the MBA instead. I vividly remember my first day on campus for the interview – I was incredibly nervous. But I pushed through that fear, gave it my best shot, and was thrilled to get selected for admission. From that first day until now, the progress in my life has been remarkable. I used to be someone who preferred to stay in my comfort zone. However, this MBA program has not only given me valuable academic knowledge but also exposed me to real-life scenarios that have shaped my growth, both personally and professionally. Taking that risk was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. If you’re standing at a crossroads, unsure whether to take that leap, just remember – the greatest growth often happens outside your comfort zone. #Growth #RiskTaking #MBAJourney #LifeLessons #PersonalDevelopment
