Change is hard, and that’s okay. Before making our move to CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC, the most important thing I did was set crystal clear expectations: it’s going to be hard. Really hard. We did extensive due diligence, but no amount of preparation can account for every little detail. I reminded our team repeatedly that things will come up that we forgot to ask. There will be things that we misinterpreted and/or might be different than we anticipated. And there will be things that pop up that we just don’t like. Now, when the unexpected happens, we manage it with patience and focus. My advice to anyone considering a big change: be prepared for challenges, accept them, and tackle them head-on.
