6dI couldn't agree more, Sanam Naraghi Anderlini, MBE I do wonder whether eg the wars in former Yugoslavia or WWII could have been ended without the use of force. I strongly believe alternatives to bloody combat need to be pursued with at least as much dedication as the use of force, but I'm afraid I no longer believe that negotiations and compromise alone are sufficient to bring about a just peace.
