SaaS & APPS | Head of Design & Innovation & Co-founder at Rocketvan.io | I advise, I challenge, I do

But, 𝗪𝗛𝗬? (chapter I) Before writing a single line of code, it’s essential to identify the core reasons behind your next 𝗦𝗮𝗮𝗦 or 𝗪𝗲𝗯 𝗔𝗽𝗽. There are 3 main routes to find your WHYs: Identifying Market Gaps, Understanding Customer Needs, and Defining Your Purpose. In this post, I will guide you through Uncovering Market Gaps. I'm sure you started using an app or a SaaS platform, and after a little while, you thought: Why did they bother to build it? and more importantly: Why should I pay for it? Unfortunately, this is a common mistake. Having ideas, even good ones, is not enough to transform them into successful digital platforms. A fundamental step in creating killer platforms is identifying market gaps. How do we do this? There are two main ways: 𝟭) 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 Begin by conducting thorough market research. Look at your industry’s landscape, analyse competitors, and identify areas where their solutions fall short. Are there unmet needs or inefficiencies that your app or platform could address? is the first step toward building a solution that stands out. 𝟮) 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 Leverage customer feedback to pinpoint frustrations with existing solutions. Platforms like social media, online reviews, and direct surveys are goldmines of information. Listen to what users complain about or wish they had, and use that insight to shape your offering. Understanding these gaps will not only guide the design and development process but also significantly increase your chances of building a platform that truly resonates with your audience and fills a gap in the market. Keep in tune as Chapters I (Understanding Customer Needs)and Chapter II (Defining Your Purpose) are coming soon! --- ℹ️ At Rocketvan we can help evaluate your specific needs, choose the right tech stack, and partner with you to bring your vision to life.
