A remarkably smooth process... 🏠 When choosing a supplier, the homeowners of this New England inspired contemporary renovation knew they wanted to work with local or UK based manufacturers and installers. From the start, they also knew they wanted to use timber, for the quality and durability it provides, despite other suppliers advising against it and stating they would not know the difference. If you’re a multifamily or commercial developer, That means a delay in collecting rent! For most large projects, we recommend ordering 12-16 weeks in advance. I know it can be tough when you have so many details to keep track of, But if you want to get that space open and operating, We need to get the floors installed! One of my frustrations having conversations with people outside the offsite NZ space is that offsite construction has a misrepresentation as only be transportable buildings. The offsite space has a wide variety of innovative, smart and awesome building products and systems. There can offer great benefits to builders and home owners, but only if they are designed into a concept and then capitalised on in the build process. Reality: There are benefits to both newer and older homes. 🏠 It’s a common myth that newer construction means that no immediate maintenance is needed. Contrary to popular belief, newer construction isn't immune to problems. Scott, our Senior Technical Director and Service Manager shares that newer homes can experience similar complications as do older homes, including construction defects and settling issues. Older, well-maintained homes might also experience concerns, but they have stood the test of time. With years of occupancy, many issues have likely been identified and resolved, assuming the home has been well maintained. 🌇 Choosing to invest in an older, well-maintained home can offer numerous advantages, such as unique architectural details and solid craftsmanship, and you’re benefiting from years of upkeep and improvements—especially if the previous owners were Top Hat customers.
