It's not about Men vs Women. It's about the culture of rape normalized over decades through movies and songs objectifiying women, through research that proclaims men cannot control sexual urge which is natural, through internet without regulations which has free access to porn, through a culture that dances on sexualised vulgar songs in marriages & celebrations, through an education that doesn't bother to teach about one's own body and others, about emotions and individuality, through parents who focused only on marks and not building character values. We were a culture that revered Kali as Ma ,though her appearance is provocative. A culture that values a masculinity that is of the Virya, a Kshatriya who protects the truth. This Virya is the Shakti herself. A culture who idolized Shiva,Ram, and Krishna as the ideal. It's time we reclaim our culture. Focus on cultivating character and not just a blind focus on monetary status and degrees as a parameter of our success.

I respectfully disagree with these 5 proverbs/old sayings👇🏻 📍"Boys will be boys." It's time to retire this excuse for inappropriate behavior. Boys will be held accountable for their actions! 📍"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." Words have power and can leave a lasting impact we could never imagine. Let's allow ourselves to be vulnerable and protect ourselves from verbal abuse. 📍"Curiosity killed the cat." Curiosity also drives innovation and progress. So, instead of shying away, we should celebrate and foster the curiosity that will lead to discovery and growth. 📍"Good things come to those who wait." Patience is a virtue, but active pursuit and hard work also brings great results. Know when to be patient and when to take action. 📍"A woman's place is in the kitchen." Oh my days! 🤦🏻♀️ Women can and should pursue any path they desire, be allowed to be ambitious and make impact. So, if you're an ambitious woman, join the free EQUALZ Mentorship hub and get guidance from female mentors and role models who are disrupting industries worldwide. #inclusivity #womenempowerment #changemakers

Part 6: Anarcha-Feminism (or Anarchist Feminism) is another offshoot of Radical Feminism and combines Feminist and Anarchist beliefs in which patriarchy is viewed as a manifestation of hierarchy so that the fight against patriarchy is an essential part of the class struggle and the Anarchist struggle against the state. Black Feminism (or Womanism) argues that sexism, class oppression and racism are inextricably bound together. Alice Walker and other Womanists claim that black women experience a different and more intense kind of oppression from that of white women. Socialist Feminism (or Marxist Feminism) connects the oppression of women to Marxist ideas about exploitation, oppression and labor. Socialist Feminists see the need to work alongside men and all other groups, and to focus their energies on broad change that affects society as a whole, and not just on an individual basis. Liberal Feminism (or Individualist Feminism) seeks the equality of men and women through political and legal reform. Liberal Feminists see the personal individual interactions between men and women as the place from which to transform society and argue that no major change to the structure of society is needed. Embracing Liberation: A Reflection on Equality and Uncomfortable Truths 🔥 If someone's liberation upsets you, there's a good chance you were benefitting from their oppression. 🔥 As we journey toward a more inclusive world, it's essential to confront uncomfortable truths. Equality is not oppression. It's the cornerstone of a just society—one where every voice matters, regardless of background, identity, or circumstance. 🌎 Why does someone else's liberation make us uneasy? 1. Bias and Privilege: Our discomfort often stems from our own biases and unexamined privilege. When marginalized communities rise, it can feel like a personal loss for those who've unknowingly benefited from their struggles. 2. Shifting Paradigms: True equality challenges existing power structures. It forces us to reevaluate our assumptions and confront the status quo. Change can be unsettling, but it's necessary. 3. Fear of Loss: Liberation threatens the familiar. We fear losing our comfort zones, our unearned advantages, and the false sense of superiority that comes with them. 🌟 Here's the truth: Your discomfort is an invitation to growth. 1. Self-Reflection: Ask yourself why someone else's liberation bothers you. Is it fear? Ignorance? Or perhaps a need to cling to old narratives? 2. Educate Yourself: Learn about the struggles faced by minority groups. Understand their history, resilience, and the beauty of their cultures. 3. Challenge Your Bias Uncomfortable conversations lead to growth. Engage with empathy. Listen. Unlearn harmful stereotypes. 🌈 Remember: Liberation is not a threat—it's an expansion of humanity. When we uplift others, we elevate ourselves. Let's celebrate diversity, advocate for justice, and build bridges of understanding. 🙌 Own Your Bias. Embrace Liberation. #EqualityMatters #Inclusion #racism #humanrights #Liberation #LinkedInThoughts

Were you part of the heated debates that happened on various friends and family groups as the general elections took place recently? Then you must have seen a lot of "Othering" "Othering" It is the subtle act of separating "us" from "them" We find so many ways to categorize ourselves and others: Religion, political leaning, gender, region, generation... these are the obvious ones! But also We the service class We the high integrity people We the patriotic We the hardworking We the kind ones We the responsible We the knowledgeable We the globe trotters We the selfless and a zillion more!!!!! What we don't realise is that our identity (how we see ourselves) is sometimes based on these categories, and it happens subconsciously, naturally even. The intensity of our aversion to the "other" only reflects how deeply we are attached to our own identity, believing it to be the only correct way to live.😱🙄😳 For instance, I used to think all businessmen were cheats until I started my own company and saw the world from a different perspective. 😅 Inclusion, besides being a buzzword of the month, is also an invitation to stop "Othering" people around you. Take a moment today to reflect on who you might be "othering" in your life. 🥰 How can you shift your perspective to foster greater inclusion? #Inclusion #Diversity #Selfmastery #MindsetShift

The interconnectedness of our world means that events in one country, especially a global superpower like the US, can have far-reaching consequences for everyone. To my fellow Gen Zs: Let's raise our daughters to understand that value must be earned. Just as men must work to earn their place in the world, so too must women. The harmful myth that women are born with inherent value can keep them trapped in dependent relationships, leaving them vulnerable to abuse and manipulation. True empowerment isn't about being a stereotypical "boss babe" or " bad bxtch" or being able to twerk freely. It's about actively contributing to society and building a community that supports and uplifts women and children. A sheltered life can limit your potential and make you susceptible to exploitation. Break free from limiting beliefs and seek out experiences that challenge and inspire you. While women are often praised for their obedience and compliance in controlled environments such as school and work, it's crucial to recognize that true empowerment comes from valuing your own skills, talents, and aspirations. Don't confine yourself to traditional roles. Explore your passions, pursue your dreams, and strive for your definition of prosperity. Remember, respect is earned, not given. To command respect, you must first demonstrate your worth.

As a woman and a teacher in current times, I often get asked a pertinent question: What is feminism to you? This question almost always makes me feel uncomfortable because I believe that my answer might not be comprehended the way I want it to be. However, one of my students recently made me pen down what I truly felt for a social media post and that is when I came up with the following answer. I realised that it was a personal answer and did not have to fit in the political compartments of right and wrong. My perspective: At a conceptual level, feminism is a dynamic idea developed with noble intentions. It can play a crucial role in guiding both individuals and society towards a world filled with equal opportunities and positivity. I envision a free environment where every individual is respected for who they are and what they believe in, with the fundamental right to express their identity safely. While the realisation of this dream hinges on individual excellence and independence, humanity must unite and recognise the significance of this noble idea. A progressive shift in both thought and action is necessary, with unity and stability preceding activism and revolution. Only in such moments can we, as a society aiming for progression and uplift, aspire to achieve a truly egalitarian world that ensures a joyful and peaceful existence, respect for every individual, harmony among genders, and security for all, both physically and emotionally. What are your views on this idea? . . . #feminismtome #genderequality #egalitarianism
