As corporations, we have a responsibility to give back to communities that have been historically neglected. During a recent visit to a community laundromat in Smoketown, it became evident just how impactful these efforts can be. #Empowerment: Investing in local communities can provide essential resources that empower residents. #EconomicGrowth: Supporting local businesses and infrastructure fosters economic growth and stability, benefiting everyone. #SocialResponsibility: As corporations, we have a responsibility to give back to areas that have been historically neglected.

Places for People, Places Impact are supporting Broughton and Brooklands Community Connectors and Broughton Fields School to run their 'Lanterns of Hope' project.   We have awarded BBCC a Community Connector Grant to enable this community project organised by Broughton Fields Primary in collaboration with BBCC. The project will involve children, local groups and residents creating lanterns from mason jars, tissue paper, and LED lights, which will be displayed in windows across the neighbourhood.   Places for People have a large number of customers living and working within the Broughton and Brooklands area of Milton Keynes. This is a great opportunity for us to work with local partners and schools following our Christmas Tree installation at Brooklands Square and Christmas Party in at Broughton Pavilion.   #placesimpact #teamcentral #miltonkeynes #communityconnector #becausecommunitymatters

Typically, Corner Meetings, are casual encounters with members of the slum community and can take place at tea stalls or kirana stores etc. They play a key role in reinforcing the message, discussions and actions to be taken.
