Sad to miss #SMP24 but excited to see Jas Chambers and Ed Husic MP showing off our Living Seawalls miniatures! The much larger full-scale panels can be incorporated into new or retrofitted to existing seawalls to revive marine life along our modified coastlines. The panels provide protective spaces in which marine life can thrive, in some instances tripling biodiversity over that found on flat concrete surfaces of similar age. Ed Husic MP is holding a miniature 'rockpool panel' which has water-retaining cups that hold water as the tide goes out. The cups provide a cool, moist microclimate up to 10 degrees C cooler than flat surfaces. This can be the difference between life and death for our biodiversity in a warming climate. Through Living Seawalls we are providing a means by which we can co-design marine constructions for humans and nature.
I ❤️ our scientists and researchers! I got to see so many of them last week as Science & Technology Australia put on a sensational #SMP2024 👏 Nearly 400 scientists and researchers from over 100 electorates converged on Canberra to meet with around 90 parliamentarians to showcase their ideas and know-how. From ocean science to life saving treatments to robotics, smart Australian scientists and researchers are showing the rest of the world how to get things done. We want a Future Made in Australia and by backing science we can make that happen!

I am happy to share that my paper, "Optimized Decentralized Swarm Communication Algorithms for Efficient Task Allocation and Power Consumption in Swarm Robotics", has been published in the Robotics journal by MDPI with an impact factor of 3.7 and a 5.9 CiteScore (Q1). This publication is the culmination of a challenging journey with lots of obstacles. I owe many thanks to my supervisors Prof. Ossama Ismail and Dr. Omar Shalash who paved the way for reaching this milestone. And special thanks to Omar Shalash who spent countless late nights helping me with my manuscript and with figuring out LaTeX. 😃 You can access the paper by following this link: https://lnkd.in/dJmh5d-i #MDPI

ACENTAURI team is thrilled to announce the arrival of Professor Rafael Murrieta-Cid ! 🌟 Professor Murrieta, from Centro de Investigación en Matemáticas (CIMAT), is joining the team as visiting researcher to work on his project on robot motion planning with sensory feedback and learning. His research focus on improving sampling-based motion planners, which are known to be the most efficient techniques for finding collision-free trajectories for complex robotics systems in environments with obstacles. However, those methods assume a known and static map and they don't offer trajectory correction online. To overcome these limitations, Professor Murrieta is investigating a joint approach including visual servoing, also including sensor feedback to release the constraint of an already known environment. Additionally, he will explore the possibility of merging that approach with learning-based techniques. It is an honor to welcome Professor Murrieta and to share our knowledge reciprocally to push the boundary of robotics together. If you want to join as well the team or you need more information, please visit our website https://lnkd.in/eJmhTJca. #Research #Robotics #MotionPlanning #VisualServoing

Look for help in communicating this concept to the decision maker. Investing in this project will not be expensive at cooperation to implement product that increases the probability of memorization when studying. It accelerates the process of learning languages by memorizing a large number of words in a short time. The product has not yet been registered in intellectual property. It consists of industrial and software components.expected product in high demand. B to B B to G .A more efficient and flexible education system.
Step inside the new Stanford Robotics Center 🤖 The state-of-the-art facility gives researchers from disparate fields a unified space for research, education, and collaboration. “There are so many connections between what we all do that we really needed one place to call home,” says director Oussama Khatib. 🗞️: https://lnkd.in/gA9aGmHy 🎥: Kurt Hickman

ARK - Advances in Robot Kinematics is a boutique robotics international series of symposia. The first symposium was organized by J. Lenarčič in Ljubljana in 1988. #ARK was one of the first world conferences that was specialized in its specific topic. Before ARK, the contributions of robotic kinematics were scattered across different conferences and in different sections. ARK united the research community under one roof, creating a community of kinematicians. This marked the beginning of a period of close cooperation and exchange. The proceedings of ARKs are published in the form of edited books, which have been published by Springer (initially Kluwer) from the very beginning. Many original scientific achievements in the field of robot kinematics were published at ARKs. Some experts have stated that ARK is the primary source of the latest results in the field of robotic kinematics. Since 1992, ARK has been organized under patronage of IFToMM, while maintaining its inherent independence. 📇 June 30 - July 4 📌Cankarjev dom 🔗ark2024.org #ARK2024 #IFToMM #meetings #MeetingsProfs #pco #SloveniaMeetings #CankarjevDom
