I was invited by my colleague Professor Sarah Kiguli from Makerere University College of Health Sciences School of Medicine to address the Health Professions Education (HPE) Conference as a guest of honor. During my talk, I highlighted three crucial aspects of HPE: Fostering Engaged and Competent Professionals: HPE aims to cultivate professionals who actively contribute to healthcare transformation. This requires implementing student-centered pedagogies that empower students to co-create knowledge, actively construct their understanding, and become architects of positive change in the health sector. Establishing "Thrive Circles or Pods" and Faculty Development Pathways: Supporting faculty growth and well-being is essential for enhancing learning quality and student engagement. Thriving faculty members contribute significantly to a vibrant educational environment. Collaborative Learning Across the Health System: Recognizing that we are part of a unified health system, it is imperative to learn and evolve together. Aligning evidence-based learning and practice throughout the system ensures consistent, high-quality healthcare delivery. #LearnTogether; #Learn at the #SameTime #EvolveTogether Clarke International University
