A study investigates the relationship between upper extremity (UE) positioning and the development of perioperative upper extremity peripheral neuropathy (PUN) during oral and maxillofacial surgery. The results indicate that UE positioning (tucked vs. abducted) did not significantly affect PUN development, with general anesthesia duration and BMI being the main factors associated with PUN.
