🎶 50 members of Ananda Yaan experienced a heartwarming day at Nehru Auditorium, courtesy of Rtn. Deepak Kapadia and Rtn. Vikram Daiya. The highlight of the event was a melodious live concert featuring evergreen Bollywood classics from iconic films like Taj Mahal, Anarkali, and Baiju Bawra. As the music filled the air, the members went down memory lane, joyfully singing along and reliving cherished moments from their youth. Adding to the joy, they were served a perfectly packed, nutritious snack meal during the interval, ensuring they were cared for both emotionally and physically. This gathering wasn’t just about music—it was about fellowship, laughter, and the warmth of togetherness. The love and dedication of our Rotarians in organizing such experiences truly embody the spirit of Ananda Seva. The Ananda Yaan committee is deeply grateful for their continuous efforts in spreading joy and enriching the lives of our elders. ❤️✨ #AnandaSeva #MusicAndMemories #RotaryCare #RCB #RotaryClubOfBombay https://lnkd.in/gB2aYsFf

Dussehra: A Celebration of Victory, Resilience, and New Beginnings Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami, is one of India’s most celebrated festivals, but did you know that it holds different significance across various regions of the country? 1. Victory of Good over Evil: The most widely known story behind Dussehra is the victory of Lord Ram over the demon king Ravana, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. This powerful message resonates across communities and encourages us to uphold righteousness in our own lives. 2. Goddess Durga’s Triumph: In many parts of India, particularly in Bengal, Dussehra marks the culmination of Durga Puja. It celebrates Goddess Durga’s victory over the buffalo demon Mahishasura, reminding us of the power of resilience, especially in the face of adversity. 3. A Time for New Beginnings: For many, Dussehra is not just about commemorating victories but also about new beginnings. It marks the end of the nine-day Navratri festival and the onset of more prosperous times, symbolizing the hope for personal and professional growth. 4. Renewal of Faith and Traditions: Across India, the festival brings communities together through the reenactment of Ramayana scenes (Ramlila), immersion of Durga idols, and the burning of Ravana effigies. It’s a time to reflect on our traditions and values, strengthening our cultural and spiritual bonds. 5. Empowerment and Progress: For others, Dussehra is a reminder to destroy inner evils like ego, jealousy, and ignorance, propelling us towards a more empowered and progressive self. As we celebrate Dussehra, let’s remember that the essence of the festival is not just about defeating external challenges but also about overcoming our internal obstacles. Whether in life or in business, each day gives us the opportunity to conquer our personal Ravanas and rise stronger. This Dussehra, may we all find the courage to take on new challenges, renew our passions, and strive for growth—personally and professionally. Here’s to victories big and small! #Dussehra #Leadership #Growth #Resilience #NewBeginnings

Why Dussehra is Relevant Today: 1) Symbol of Good Over Evil: Dussehra’s core message is the triumph of righteousness, truth, and justice over immorality, falsehood, and oppression. It serves as a reminder for individuals and society to uphold virtues and confront negative forces. 2) Unity and Cultural Diversity: Dussehra celebrations vary widely across regions, reflecting cultural diversity while promoting unity through shared values and stories. 3) Resilience and Hope: The festival inspires hope, encouraging people to overcome challenges in their personal and social lives, just as Lord Rama and Goddess Durga did. 4) Moral and Ethical Values: It reinforces moral lessons, such as respecting others, staying true to one’s principles, and striving for self-improvement. Raksha Bandhan - Great significance Congratulations to all of you on this sacred festival of sacred threads. The festival of Raksha Bandhan signifies the secret of the life's metamorphosis; the great transformation of life. But unfortunately most people in the world take this festival in a very light manner. They don't know the right meaning of this. They just tie a thread around the wrist. Most often sisters tie a thread to brother's wrists. Sisters apply Tilak (teeka) in the centre of the forehead of brothers. And afterwards they relish the different kinds of sweets etc on this sacred occasion. They celebrate even a feast party too. They think that the matter is over with this. But you will find that there is no positive and qualitative change happen in their inner personalities and nature happen. From the next day onwards, their feelings, nature and actions of their life remain the same as they were before. At the end of Iron Age , now God has descended and given this festival a big importance. He has said in His verses, "sweet children; the purity of thoughts and deeds has a greatest power of the world. Nothing is comparable to purity. Just imbibe it in it's inner most level. Remember - this scared festival of Rakhi is a most significant festival. It delivers us the greatest message of the greatest transformation of life. It gives the message of making life divine. Qualitative and karmic purity has the power to completely change life and the outlook of life in a positive and divine manner. Through the purity of thoughts and deeds metamorphosis of life and beyond happen. All have to be in this consciousness and to celebrate Rakhi in a meaningful manner. Sometimes, seldom and occasionally having feast and relishing sweets and etc is not a wrong thing. But while joying life, there must be first and foremost thing is to be in the awareness of Rakhi festival's right perspective. Just feel in your core that the Supreme God Father ties you the supreme threads of Rakhi (Purity). #rakhi #sacred #thread #purity #sister #brother #bond #festival #feast #significance
