The "Rothbart ART1" Prototype is an autonomous & intelligent tank for reconnaissance of crisis areas, battlefields, minefields & highly secured areas (airports, military facilities or critical infrastructure). With a payload of 30KG, the ART1 can also be used as a transport vehicle. With the help of artificial intelligence and optical recognition technology, anomalies are detected & reported and situation pictures are determined without risking human life. If the war continues for a couple more years, I am certain we would start seeing humanoid robots deployed as the next step in automation of combat, following drones. Naturally this would expand the cyber war massively, with fewer human soldiers risking their lives. "Drones" Part 5(b): Sensor Op💻 As with any aircraft, there is a pilot at the controls, but what makes the RPA unique is that in the cockpit there is also a sensor operator and not a navigator. THE SENSOR OPERATOR From his workstation he controls the sensor to collect data, updating the collection plan in real time. He monitors the sensor status and can initiate sensor calibration. He is in direct contact with the intelligence team, controlling image quality, prioritising targets and monitoring the scene to ensure smooth operations.
