After a long week of interviewing potential new hires (York Heine and myself are currently hiring at RevOps Automated) it's brought up a couple of thoughts that branch in different directions. First, on the hiring side, it's amazing what you can learn from someone if you deviate from the usual, boring Intro>CV>Education>Question format. As we're a highly engaged, supportive and collaborative team in general, we know that we don't know it all, and must (I repeat must) learn from each other every single day. It's genuinely fascinating what you learn by asking a candidate 'what can we learn from you?'. Second, maybe it's a generational thing, but I'm surprised that out of 9 interviews this week for an AE role, only 1 actually tried to close me on next steps in the interview. #revops #jobs #accountexecutive #hubspot #salesforcejobs #interview
