If you’re thinking, “Finally, a break from Bunuru’s BBQ temps!” — you’re spot on! Djeran is all about crisp mornings, gusty winds, and a bush bursting with fresh tucker. Why Djeran is Dinky-Di for Bush Exploring For the Noongar people, Djeran is a season of gathering—both for foods and for cozying up around a fire. This is when bush medicine is in full swing, native plants like acacias and banksias bloom, and the land starts coming alive again after the heat. Birds are chirping, insects are buzzing, and it’s prime time to taste-test bush tucker (if you’re brave enough)! Survival Tip #71: Embrace the “Bush Blanket Bungle” Technique In Djeran, nights get cold enough to make a swag feel like an icebox.
