Electric vehicles (EVs) are generally considered more sustainable than traditional gasoline-powered vehicles, but there are several factors to consider: Environmental Benefits Reduced Emissions: EVs produce zero tailpipe emissions, which helps reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions1. Energy Efficiency: Electric motors are more efficient than internal combustion engines, converting more of the energy from the battery into movement

No matter what, fleet electrification is a win-win situation! If you switch your internal combustine engine (ICE) vehicle to a battery electric one (BEV), you'll realize *carbon gain*, based on a so-called *avoided state* - that is, if you kept using your old vehicle, you'd keep emitting greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. You can then turn this carbon gain into carbon credits that you can sell on the Voluntary Carbon Market. Sounds interesting? Learn more about how we can help you (post)finance your fleet electrification! https://hubs.ly/Q02DVW-Q0 #Electromobility #CarbonCredits #SustainableMobility #mitigia #ESGCompliance

All this talk about the environmentally friendly cars and it looks like that everybody is missing the point about what is good for the environment. As long as a car is electric it is classified as environmentally friendly. Nobody counts how much energy goes in to give you so many miles of driving. Energy efficiency never comes up into any report. We forget that after all electric cars are charged by fuel burning power plants...

A while ago, we posted a guide about the EU CO2 reduction target goals for vehicles. In it, we wrote about the European Commission revising regulations for trucks to further curb emissions. We are very glad that on Wednesday, the EU Parliament adopted these new measures 🙌 . This means that CO2 emissions from large trucks will have to be reduced by 45% before 2030, 65% before 2035, and 90% by 2040. We are now one step closer to net-zero ⚡ If you want get quick overview of the regulations, check out our guide! We also added the press release in the comments if you're curious #ev #electrification #netzero

Dive into this insightful ABC article on the environmental impact of vehicle lifecycles. 🌱 Natalie and team at the Electric Vehicle Council also created a great life-cycle emissions calculator tool to help us all get our heads around the topic 🚗💚 #Sustainability #ElectricVehicles #EcoFriendly

Last year we published our life-cycle emissions calculator tool and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) just released this explainer, making it simpler to understand for the next time you get approached at a family lunch. 🍽 As you know, there is nothing you can purchase that has no environmental footprint attached to it (whether that be a fridge, a phone, a car, a bike). 🔋 There are however some products that are more efficient than others to operate and some that are inherently more recyclable as well! Special thanks to Yoann GIMBERT and Thomas Earl at Transport & Environment (T&E) for their help in developing this. At some point there will be an update needed but we've got a few other priorities at the moment... At present, EV chargers are much more environmentally friendly than thermal combustion engines! Though there are several reasons behind this, the most apparent is that they do not produce greenhouse gases and other such pollutants to run. Pure electric cars are ecologically good since they don’t require gasoline or fuel, therefore contributing to the UK’s Net Zero carbon emission objective by 2030. ✅👏 #EVChargers #RenewableEnergy #EnergySector
