People want to know: What is driving telehealth? A lot has changed over the past few months, but could it really be this simple… 🧐 Remote monitoring, digital therapeutics, it’s all happening. And with communities sequestered and brick and mortar medical offices on limited access telehealth has gone from a 2% adoption rate to 70% or greater. In mere months. That. Is. HUGE. While quarantine might feel like the key driver, it’s not the fuel in the tank. It’s actually the increased flexibility around reimbursement that’s powering this vehicle. 🎶 Money makes the world go ‘round. 🎶 (Okay, I never claimed my singing was good) To break it down: 💉 Quarantine trends 💉 Licensure and regulations easement and 💉 Convenience are certainly key factors. But the approval for reimbursement of telehealth services is the nitro in this juggernaut’s tank! Has the removal of regulations around reimbursement weighed in on your office’s decision to implement (or not) telehealth services? Interesting insights 🎙Dr Roxie, wasn't aware of what was happening in this industry but makes sense.
🎙Dr Roxie Mooney, DBA, I will be honest, I wasn't a big fan of tele-health prior to COVID. However, after completing multiple appointments since then doing it this way, I am hopeful that this will continue even post COVID. I'm a believer!
this is such a needed topic at this time! Thank you for this great collab!
Telehealth is such an invaluable treasure-if only we could figure out reimbursement!
