Do you ever think you might spread yourself too 𝚃 𝙷 𝙸 𝙽 ? I was recently asked this question, and it’s a tough one to answer, especially when multitasking is a phrase that’s associated with having a strong skill set. 🤹🏻 And that’s what makes it difficult to answer because most people wouldn’t believe it. So, I’m just going to say it: 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮. There, now that that’s out in the open, the next line of business is to assure you: 𝒀𝒐𝒖. 𝑨𝒓𝒆. 𝑵𝒐𝒕. 𝑨𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒆. (Honestly, I’m right there with you!) Staying focused might be difficult, but it could be the difference between: ✔️ Having an advantage ✔️ Winning new business and ✔️ Finding new opportunities or ❌ Spreading yourself too thin ❌ Letting things fall through the cracks and ❌ 𝐋 𝐎 𝐒 𝐈 𝐍 𝐆 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒 𝐀 𝐋 𝐄 As hard as it is for me to admit it: Sometimes the competitive advantage goes to the person who stays on task and NOT to the person doing multiple things at once. Have you found that staying focused earned you more opportunities than being able to juggle multiple projects at once? Let me know!
