And it’s critical for you to understand that difference. What many innovators don’t realize is that commercialization (generating a profit from the innovation) 🔨 begins BEFORE the product is even fully developed 🚀 and continues LONG after it’s launched. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝘁. 💀 Part of this tragedy: most innovators don’t give their commercialization strategy any love until it’s time to launch. BUT... By the time it’s ready for launch, you’ve already missed opportunities on critical commercialization choices that often make the difference between market success and failure.
