🚫🚫🚫 HOPE IS NOT A STRATEGY 🚫🚫🚫 Face it. Things are not going to be the same when all of this is said and done! If you're in the Lysol disinfectant or the Charmin business, there's no need to #pivot, right? 👨👧👨👧👨👧 Just sell, sell, sell. Or, maybe they need to pivot their distribution strategy? Right, right, right. This kind of business is good before #COVID, during COVID, after COVID. BUT, for most of us….a lot of things are gonna be different. Folks that are holding tightly to their original ideas… just kinda crossing their fingers…. and hoping that everything is going to be the same or be okay. Well, let’s face it. ❌ Hope is not a strategy. ❌ We MUST act! We cannot wish away problems. There must be a concentrated effort to solve problems and to increase #opportunities. Sitting around thinking about how the current situation could be better will not #change anything. What actions are you taking? Well done Dr Roxie Mooney, DBA, we have been pivoting like mad people over here, new logo, working on new website adding new lines of service, changing up our offer, we will be ready when our clinical healthcare recruitment niche starts ramping recruiting back up again.
Dr Roxie Mooney, DBA so true we should always be anticipating and not relying on good times. We didn’t expect covid but I think most businesses should have been expecting some type of downturn...its cyclical
Stop hoping and start acting, great vid, Dr Roxie Mooney, DBA
Great point, Dr Roxie Mooney, DBA! Hope is a fantastic beginning ("I hope I get a good grade in this class," "I hope I make the basketball team," "I hope she doesn't turn me down like every other girl I have asked out this semester," etc.), but it is only a beginning. If hope is not followed by action ("I'm going to studying harder than ever to get better results than ever," "I will sacrifice other hobbies so that I will have more time to practice on the court," "I will improve my personal hygiene to see if that will affect the rate at which girls run away from me," etc.) then your hope is about as useful as a pile of bricks. Interestingly, bricks have literally tons of potential for good, but if they're left in the wrong place and nothing is done with them, they actually just get in the way and become an obstacle for everyone who encounters them.
in latin, hope and waiting are the same word Dr Roxie Mooney, DBA
