🧞♀️ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲. 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁? 🧞♂️ As #telehealth solutions are implemented throughout the healthcare arena, what happens next? After decades of pushing for telehealth access, in the wake of the global pandemic, the industry has experienced massive growth in a short period of time. 🌎 Keeping patients and medical staff safe has been the key driver in that moving forward. 🚪 The doors have been flung open 🚪 and #HIPAA regulations have been temporarily relaxed for telehealth because, in a crisis situation, safety comes first. And now that the genie is out of the bottle, can we put them back in? Should we put them back in? 🤷♂️ There’s no argument: ➕ Doctors like it. ➕ Patients like it. ✖️ But is that enough? The possibility of a bit of clawback on HIPAA regulations and regulatory oversight might well be in store post-pandemic. But putting the genie back in that bottle seems less and less likely. 👍🏼 In what ways do you think telehealth is here to stay? We’d love to know! Really great interview 🎙Dr Roxie Mooney, DBA thanks for sharing 👍
Yah I think definitely here to stay Good 🎙Dr Roxie Mooney, DBA too many great benefits for it!! Just a thought provoking post and question!
In a healthcare setting, having telehealth available to me has been a literal lifesaver (immunocompromised here) - and it's taken so much of my stress and anxiety away. That alone is a win for me mentally and, if we're being honest, physically as well. But, taking it a step further, it's not just telehealth! Remote doctor visits are incredibly convenient, yes, but so is the ability to work remotely, or receive an education remotely. Just recently I read an article about New Yorkers moving out of the city because with the recent crisis and the barriers between doctor's visits, work place access, and educational access being lowered, the world has opened up for them. And don't even get me started on the environmental pluses. Telehealth and the recent COVID crisis (though horrifying and scary) have been unbelievable springboards of opportunity to create better lives and a better environment. Win/Win might even be an understatement.
Awesome point made here Dr Roxie!
Certainly here to stay, it saves both time and money, and can help bring healthcare to otherwise underserved communities. We just need a but more refining and improvement but it's here to stay!
