The new tax regime eliminating donation relaxation like 80g poses a significant challenge for local charities. Middle-class individual, who used to donate in a balanced way now face a dilemma. With the removal of these tax benefits, finding the equilibrium between financial responsibilities and supporting charitable causes becomes harder. The government's decision raises concerns about the sustainability of charitable foundations. Without the support from the individual contribution it's uncertain how these organizations will continue their social welfare activities. The government's limited reach into society further complicates the situation. It appears that the central government may be disconnected from the ground reality of social welfare dynamics. The impact of these changes on local charities and the broader social welfare landscape is a pertinent issue that requires attention and reflection through right policy formation through real understanding of the existing social play. Caring for the elderly is a social responsibility that is of great importance and essence and should not be neglected by members of the society. Azar Initiative-a save heaven for the elderly, is an NGO charged with the responsibilities and mission to empower, care for, and promote the well-being of older African men and women by providing access to sustainable and affordable healthcare service, advocacy and social welfare inclusion. Over the cause of it's journey, Azar Initiative has impacted the lives of over one thousand (1000+) elderly persons through the provision of healthcare interventions and has trained over 200 informal caregivers on how to give proper care to the older persons. A detailed expansion of these statistics has been well documented and can be accessed by donors, Sponsors and volunteers.
