10 years of Bruges Beer: a decade of beer experiences! In 2014, Bruges Beer Experience opened its doors. Since its establishment, the visitor center located in the heart of Bruges annually offers around 70,000 visitors a fascinating journey. In both a technological and sensory way, visitors walk through the rich history and culture of our beer. Although the history is long, the experience is modern. Each visitor is given a tablet with which he - or she as 50% of visitors is women - can create his or her own beer journey. Via your tablet you can choose between stories, movies and games in no less than eleven languages. As the tablets exactly register what visitors do, the favorite elements of the experience are insightful. Less frequent used elements are adjusted or even removed. Like this the experience remains connected to the wishes of the public. Yet, it is not only technological. You can also touch everything, smell different kinds of hops and taste various malts. You learn about ingredients, fermentation and spices. And through the unique mini-brewing installation, you can immediately test whether you can brew yourself.
