This is a dust free, safe, easy and economical way to strip thick coatings as part of a “pre-clean” phase of a project. The NDT inspectors were able to determine the integrity of the welds after RPR Technologies AS heat induction removal, this enabled the repair of the defects before it needed to be blasted and coated as per the clients spec. No need to blast it twice! A quick sweep blast saved 70% of the abrasive needs which then inturn saved 70% of the waste costs. At $900 a tonne to buy the abrasive and then another $1850 a tonne to dispose of it that’s huge savings, let alone the risk reduction…. When you consider That’s also without having the labour cost to clean up the abrasive and bag it up for collection. This is overall a smart way to attack any decent maintenance recoating job. #heatinduction #coatingremoval #clean #safe #wastereduction #acrtech #damgates

Our team has made significant progress on the dam gates, successfully stripping away approximately 1,000 µm of high-build epoxy paint with the RPR Technologies AS Magnetic Heat Induction 1032 unit. This crucial step sets the stage for the abrasive blasting and recoating phase, enhancing efficiency and ultimately saving time, money, and waste. Excited to see the project move forward! #DamGates #CoatingRemoval #ACRTech #SurfacePreparation #Efficiency #Sustainability #Innovation #AbrasiveBlasting
