In hospitality, we have the privilege of creating warmth and comfort for others, often during times when they are celebrating with loved ones. This season reminds us of how important our work is—and how much we have to be thankful for. Thanksgiving is a time to recognize the blessings we share, and one of the greatest are the incredible employees we work with. Their passion, care, and teamwork make a difference not only to Guests but to one another. A kind word, a helping hand, or a warm smile can mean so much. Use the examples below to remind your teams and your most loyal of guests how grateful you are for them. Personalized Greetings: Greet guests by name whenever possible and with genuine enthusiasm. Active Listening: Pay close attention to guests’ and employees' needs, responding with empathy and understanding. Reliability: Be the person others can count on by consistently showing up on time and prepared. Offer Check-Ins: Be available for one-on-one check-ins with employees to thank them and hear how they’re feeling. On-the-Spot Recognition: Walk around during shifts to personally thank each team member for their dedication and effort, especially on a day that they could be spending with their families. No matter how busy you are on Thanksgiving or any holiday, there is always time to show your gratitude for the team around you. Do not miss this opportunity. Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful, restful, and meaningful Thanksgiving.

No one prepares you for the first Christmas when your babies are no longer babies and they no longer believe in Santa, or for the first Christmas without them. This year, I experienced both. Thankfully, technology helped us stay connected. We FaceTimed last night and this morning, and they still wanted to come home to do all our family traditions before opening presents. Making pizza on Christmas Eve, baking a birthday cake for Jesus, and enjoying Chinese food with movies and snuggles. I couldn’t have been happier to hear those words. If you can’t be with your family or kids today, or if it’s the first year they no longer believe, I’m sending prayers your way. Let this be a reminder to stop waiting for the holidays to see family or create memories. Find moments all year long. Regularly connect with loved ones and build lasting memories through everyday moments. The same goes for our professional lives—don’t wait for special occasions to appreciate your team. Create opportunities throughout the year to connect, celebrate achievements, and build strong relationships. Let’s make every day count, both personally and professionally.

Family, Gratitude, and the Essence of Thanksgiving 🍂 Thanksgiving has always been a time for reflection, for counting our blessings, and most importantly, for coming together with the people who matter most—our families. In a world that often moves too fast, Thanksgiving offers us the chance to pause, share a meal, and create cherished memories with loved ones. It’s a reminder of the power of connection, love, and the importance of being present with one another. For me, Thanksgiving is about more than just tradition; it’s about embracing those moments of togetherness that strengthen family bonds and fill our hearts with gratitude. The warmth of a home filled with laughter, good food, and shared stories is something we carry with us long after the holiday ends. This year, why not add a new layer of excitement and joy to your Thanksgiving celebration? Start a new tradition with fireworks! 🎆 Just imagine gathering your family outdoors, under the stars, and lighting up the night with a spectacular fireworks display—a fun and meaningful way to bring even more light and celebration into the holiday. And if you don’t want the hassle of doing it yourself, leave the details to us—the pros! Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show while we handle everything. You can focus on what really matters—quality time with your family. Ready to make your Thanksgiving unforgettable? Here’s the deal about gratitude this Thanksgiving. Why wait for one day a year to be thankful? Seriously, gratitude shouldn’t be a once-a-year thing. Life gets busy, and it’s easy to miss the good stuff. But taking a second every day to appreciate what you’ve got—whether it’s a great client, a deal that closed, or just decent weather—can shift your whole perspective. Gratitude isn’t just about feeling good; it sets you up to attract even more good things. So, don’t save it for Thanksgiving. Make it a habit. Happy Thanksgiving, and let’s keep this thankful vibe rolling all year long. 🦃

Thanksgiving is a holiday that holds great importance in many nations around the world. It is a time for people to come together with loved ones, reflect on all that they are grateful for, and share a delicious meal. This tradition has been practiced for centuries and continues to bring people together in a spirit of gratitude. Some nations have a strong and longstanding tradition of celebrating Thanksgiving, with the United States being the most well-known example. Other nations, such as Canada, also have their own unique Thanksgiving celebrations. These nations have embraced the true essence of Thanksgiving and have incorporated it into their cultural identity. However, there are also nations that have less of a focus on Thanksgiving. This could be due to a variety of reasons, such as cultural differences or lack of awareness about the holiday. In these nations, it is important to promote the spirit of Thanksgiving and encourage people to take time to express gratitude and celebrate with their loved ones. To promote the importance of Thanksgiving in all nations, it is essential to have a strategic direction. This could include organizing community events, sharing the history and significance of Thanksgiving, and encouraging acts of kindness and gratitude. It is also important to educate younger generations about the holiday and its values, so that they can continue the tradition in the future. Let us all take a moment to appreciate the true meaning of Thanksgiving and spread its message of gratitude and togetherness.

Every no is an opportunity to say yes to something better. Hosting Thanksgiving is often a balancing act of trying to fit everything in and make it all “perfect.” This year I intentionally chose a different approach. I said no to the things that didn’t bring me joy or meaning, so I could say yes to what truly matters. Here’s what I let go of: ► Checking email or scrolling social media ► Making dishes that don’t spark joy (no stuffing!) ► Cooking everything on Thanksgiving day ► Stressing over a perfectly clean and decorated home Here’s what I gained: ► Time to call and message people who matter ► Sweet, uninterrupted moments with my family ► Real memories captured with my good camera ► Permission to myself to lean into the joy of Christmas music and decor. It makes me happy, so why wait? TIME Real, unhurried time to just BE. We can’t say yes to everything and when we try, we often lose what matters most in the shuffle. As I reflect on Thanksgiving, I’m reminded that sometimes the best memories come from focusing less on doing and more on being. What strikes me most is how often we cling to the idea of “doing it all,” even when it doesn’t serve us. Letting go of the unnecessary gave me room to enjoy Thanksgiving rather than be hurried. As we step into the rest of the holiday season, I’m carrying this mindset with me. Because the best memories aren’t built on perfection, they’re built on presence. What’s one thing you’re saying no to this season so you can say yes to what matters most?
