As part of the National Futures Association's membership application process and at least annually thereafter, all NFA Members are required to complete the NFA's Member Questionnaire (previously known as the Annual Questionnaire). The NFA has announced modifications to the Questionnaire’s requirements under Compliance Rule 2-52, Interpretive Notice 9082 and amended Bylaw 301, with the changes effective October 15, 2024. The NFA’s Member Questionnaire Requirements go into effect on October 15, 2024. The rule requires every Member to assign “Enter and Submit” access to at least one “Qualified Individual” via the NFA’s Online Registration System. At the recent Mansion House City Dinner, Financial Conduct Authority Chief Executive Nikhil Rathi spoke on the FCA's growth objective, which aims to boost UK economic growth and support international competitiveness while advancing core goals: market function, consumer protection, and system integrity. Key points included: - Progress & Challenges: The FCA has seen wins like tackling 10,000 misleading promotions and cutting investigation times. But more work is needed, including streamlining processes and refining transparency on early enforcement; - Risk & Innovation: The importance of regulatory risk appetite and cutting compliance complexity was highlighted, especially for firms managing multiple regulatory requirements; and - Future Input: UK Parliament is inviting written submissions on the growth objective until a deadline of 29 November 2024.
