Misalignment reduces lifting capacity and increases the risk of failure. Dual Sling Hooking: If two slings are used, the sling angle must be 45° or greater. For angles less than 45°, use a master link or other connecting hardware to maintain stability. Proper Alignment: Hooks should always align with the line of lift to avoid side stress and deformation. 4. Removal Criteria and Compliance Remove hooks from service immediately if you notice: Cracks, gouges, or nicks in the body. Missing or damaged locking devices. Wear exceeding 8% in critical areas like the eye or saddle. Throat opening or twisting beyond safe limits. Evidence of welding repairs (strictly prohibited as per IS standards) Non-functional swivel bearings or excessive wear in pins and bolts. Safety in every lift is crucial. Proper hook use, regular inspections, and adherence to safety standards prevent accidents and boost efficiency. Safety isn’t just a protocol it’s our responsibility. #RiggingSafety #LiftingOperations #TataProjects #semiconductor

Pattern Fasteners Ltd specialises in producing custom fasteners and precision-turned parts, along with various secondary operations. They rely heavily on Citizen Machinery UK-Miyano machines, renowned for their exceptional LFV technology, which enables efficient machining of both plastics and harder materials. A significant enhancement implemented by Pattern Fasteners is fitting all their Citizen machines with Wogaard units for oil recovery. This strategic move has resulted in a remarkable 30% reduction in oil consumption. The Wogaard units recover oil from the swarf bins and redirect it back into the machines, allowing them to run longer and more efficiently, even during unmanned operations. This has resolved the issue of machines running on low oil levels and significantly increased overall efficiency. By focusing on hydraulic performance and keeping an eye on wear-prone parts like cutting edges, you’ll keep your excavator running strong even in the harshest winter conditions! _______ Hydraulic Warm-Up: Before starting heavy work, allow the hydraulic system to warm up. Slowly cycle the boom, arm, and bucket to ensure the hydraulic fluid reaches optimal temperature. Cold fluid can be thick and put stress on the system. Inspect Cutting Edges and Attachments: Cold temps and frozen ground wear out cutting edges, teeth, and attachments faster. Regularly inspect and replace worn parts to maintain efficiency and protect your machine. ________ When in doubt, Murray (Service) and Rob (Parts) are ready to troubleshoot to keep you running. 902.896.6000 | https://lnkd.in/gPjK3AuH #atlanticcoastalequipment #wackerneuson #wintermaintenance

Here’s another example how Tristan and Mikhael go the extra mile to ensure the reliability of the cables they install. They pay attention to every detail, including the bending radius. If you’re concerned, rest assured the bending radius of our cables is far smaller than that of a hydraulic hose, ensuring optimal performance and durability. #AttentionToDetail #CableReliability #QualityInstallation

Inspecting the drive pulley on a secondary system involves checking its condition, alignment, and functionality to ensure optimal performance and prevent potential issues. Here's a comprehensive checklist: *Visual Inspection: 1. Look for signs of wear, tear, or damage on the pulley's surface, edges, and grooves. 2. Check for rust, corrosion, or debris accumulation. 3. Verify proper pulley alignment with the drive belt. *Key Items to Check: 1. Pulley condition: - Cracks - Worn or uneven surface - Excessive clearance 2. Belt alignment: - Proper positioning on pulley - No signs of belt slippage or misalignment 3. Pulley securing: - Tightness of bolts or screws - Security of pulley on shaft 4. Bearing condition (if applicable): - Signs of wear or play - Proper lubrication 5. Drive belt condition: - Wear, cracks, or damage - Proper tension *Functional Checks: 1. Rotate the pulley manually to ensure smooth operation. 2. Check for unusual noises or vibrations. 3. Verify proper belt tension. *Additional Considerations: 1. Review maintenance records to ensure regular inspections and replacements. 2. Consult manufacturer guidelines for specific inspection and maintenance recommendations. 3. Consider using vibration analysis or thermography to detect potential issues. *Frequency of Inspection: 1. Regular inspections (e.g., monthly, quarterly) 2. After changes in operating conditions or maintenance activities 3. When unusual noises, vibrations, or performance issues arise *Corrective Actions: 1. Replace worn or damaged pulleys. 2. Adjust or replace belts. 3. Realign or resecure pulleys. 4. Lubricate bearings (if applicable). 5. Address underlying issues (e.g., imbalance, misalignment). #Godwin #Inspections #Maintenance
