It’s clear we have so much potential and value to offer yet it also can be discouraging when we are not presented with the opportunity to display any of this to an employer. I believe it is important to stay engaged, it's an excellent way to boost mental well-being. Volunteering is one of the best ways to do this, you contribute to the community and your mental well-being. Animal shelters are often looking for people. Many local libraries and/or rec centers may offer free activities. There are online workshops and classes available (Udemy has a great selection of free ones, you just may need to do a little navigating on their webpage). The development where we live offers weekly pickleball, line dancing, and water volleyball, among others, which are great ways to stay physically active and take your mind off things for a bit. 🎗️Riding horses is a therapy for vulnerable people. We support social initiatives like 'Accavallo oltre gli ostacoli' through our partnership with i Bambini delle Fate. This project targets individuals with neuromotor, cognitive, psychological, and social challenges, accommodating all ages. Horseback riding activates unique responses in motor skills, sensory perception, cognition, and behaviour.⬇️ In the activities organised by the Association, interactions with horses are part of educational, sporting, and rehabilitative programs. These activities are conducted in a natural setting within the spacious green areas of the Agnano crater basin. Our experience shows that outdoor sports are a natural progression of therapy, effectively fostering socialisation, interaction, and an appreciation of diversity. 💥At Condor, we believe in inclusion in all its forms and in valuing diversity. 🌟 Advocacy Alert: Supporting Brodie and Promise 🌟 As an NDIS Support Coordinator, I’m deeply concerned about the new restrictions affecting 12-year-old Brodie and his beloved horse, Promise. These new rules seem to overlook the true needs of those they’re meant to support, creating unnecessary barriers for Brodie, who already faces many challenges in his daily life. Brodie and Promise share a special bond, one that brings joy and comfort to his life. It’s disheartening to see such restrictions come into play, seemingly without understanding the unique and valuable support that animals like Promise provide. Discrimination against disabled individuals is not new, but these recent changes make it clear that our government needs to better understand and address the real-world impacts on those they serve. It’s crucial that we stand up for fair and compassionate treatment for all, ensuring that support systems truly support those in need. We must advocate for Brodie and others in similar situations, pushing for a system that recognizes and upholds their rights and needs. My camper trailer is great during a Monsoon or severe Thunderstorm season. It was one of the best Ideas I ever had at the time of my truck accident. My camper has become a best friend of this lifelong soldiers. I believe the Veterans Service Organizations need to take a suggestion from me with regards to housing homeless Veterans. Stop trying to house veterans who need privacy and their own land. Something more than an acre with farm animals and places to relax. They don't want too many neighbors, visitors or welfare checks by biased Police. Police who prefer fighting veterans to helping them, out of some sick sport. It's a set up for institutional confinement by Police, Fire department, State Phycology Doctors, and prison Wardens who desperately need to fill empty Jail cells. That and private mental health wards for profit as well. If the VSOs cared about a veterans dignity? VSOs could provide sponsorship to the manufacturers of #SylvanSport for every individual homeless veteran in Phoenix AZ, and later thought America. I saw these campers lined up around a city block? It would not offend me at all. It would not be an I saw. The military trains its combat soldiers to depend on their life safety training.
