𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵'𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. Beneath the earth’s surface lies the inspiration behind this design—capturing the very essence of how diamonds are born in nature and brought to life through craftsmanship. This sketch represents the story of a treasure hunt, starting with the layers of the earth. The rich gold symbolizes the ground itself, where nature holds her most precious secrets. The intricate contours mimic the levels of excavation, each stroke representing the careful digging through layers of soil and rock. But the real treasure is hidden beneath—the rough diamonds and rough blue sapphires, embedded within the design, mirroring the gems that remain buried until discovered. The wooden accents signify the tools and the timeless effort it takes to reveal these hidden wonders. In this piece, the diamonds aren't polished to perfection just yet—they’re raw, and untamed, much like they are when they’re first unearthed. It’s a reminder that beauty often lies in the rough, waiting to be refined. Every contour, every texture in this design is deliberate, reflecting the journey of these gems from the earth’s depths to a beautifully crafted jewel. Gold weight: 7.25 grams Diamond weight: 0.30 cts This is more than just a sketch—it’s a visual narrative of the jewellery-making process, from the earth’s hidden layers to the elegance it becomes. #JewelryDesign #JewellerySketch #UnveilingNature #SankeshSurana #CraftedElegance #FromNatureToJewelry #DiamondsInTheRough #JewelleryStory

⚡ Exploring the fascinating art of Glass-Blowing 🌱 Did you know that the art of glass-blowing has a history of over 2,000 years? ⏱ It's a craft that's stood the test of time, and I'm excited to share some of its story with you today. 👇 Glass-blowing, as we know it, was born in the Roman Empire in the first century BC. It revolutionized the way beautiful glass objects were created. Prior to this, glassware was made by casting or cutting solid glass, which involved much more work. The birthplace of glass-blowing is debated, and some attribute its origin to Syria and others to the Roman city of Sidon. Regardless of its exact birthplace, it quickly spread throughout the Roman Empire and beyond. 🎨 Glass-blowing allowed artisans to shape molten glass into intricate and delicate shapes. This paved the way for the creation of stunning glassware, from colorful vases to ornate windows. The technique involved blowing air through a tube into a bubble of molten glass, which was then formed with a tool. 🔥 Over the centuries, glass-blowing techniques continued to evolve and played a vital role in the development of stained glass windows for churches, intricate glass jewelry, and glass ornaments. 🚀 Fast forward to today, and glass-blowing remains a thriving art form. Skilled artisans around the world continue to create breathtaking glass sculptures and functional glassware.🌍 #glassblowing #artisticcraft #historyofart

Vintage ring designs are captivating due to their rich history, intricate craftsmanship, and distinctive styles reflective of different eras. For instance, Victorian rings (1837-1901) often feature ornate designs with romantic motifs like hearts, flowers, and snakes, symbolizing eternal love. Art Nouveau rings (1890-1910) are renowned for their flowing, organic shapes and nature-inspired themes, often incorporating enamel and colorful gemstones. Edwardian rings (1901-1915) highlight filigree work and delicate lace-like patterns, frequently set with diamonds and sapphires. Art Deco rings (1920-1935) are celebrated for their geometric patterns, bold colors, and use of contrasting materials like platinum and onyx. Each of these periods offers a unique glimpse into the past, making vintage rings timeless treasures. #vintagerings #fireandbrilliance

This exquisite diamond tiara was created in 1904 by Cartier. Its motif consists of two mirrored sprays of leaves set with brilliant cut diamonds, although this unique design could just as easily be interpreted as ocean waves and seafoam. The large round brilliants are meant to represent flowers and are suspended so they are in constant motion when worn, increasing the dazzling effect of the diamonds. Like many tiaras, this one has multiple functions. It can be detached from the frame and converted into four brooches. TVD💎: https://lnkd.in/dwCeK4dv

How Those Colourful Azulejo Tiles Are Made! According to The News York Times, a #tradition dating back centuries survives in #Portugal 🇵🇹 as #artists and #companies fill private and public commissions for the celebrated designs. There are some crafts that Portugal is especially known for: pavements and plazas patterned with black and white stones, and azulejos, often referred to as tiles, that cover buildings, often in seas of blue and white. Such artistry was honoured this year during the #JournéesEuropéennes des Métiers d’Art, or #EuropeanCraftsDays 🇪🇺, from April 2nd through April 7th , with programs that gave an inside look at how the work is done. Portugal’s artisanal heritage was celebrated on April 7th when ateliers around the country devoted to woodwork, weaving, jewelry, bookbinding and painting tiles opened their doors to the public. 🔗Read the article ⬇ https://lnkd.in/gGFU9frn #portugal #eu #MadeInPortugal #BuyFromPortugal #InvestInPortugal #BusinessMatchMaking #PortugalOpenForBusiness #AICEP
