A delegation led by RTSO Chairman Datuk Ir Khairil Anwar and RTSO Vice Chairman Yap Kim Wah, accompanied by SMRT Chairman Seah Moon Ming and SMRT GCEO Ngien Hoon Ping, paid Transport Minister Chee Hong Tat a courtesy visit on 2 September in Singapore. 👍 The team updated Minister Chee on the construction progress of the RTS Link and how we are looking forward to its completion. Citing RTS Link as an important strategic project between both countries, Minister Chee shared that when ready, the link will forge closer ties and enhance connectivity between both countries. 🤝 Keep a close watch on this exciting project! 👀
I had a good meeting with the Board of RTS Operations Pte Ltd, the joint venture company formed between SMRT Corporation Ltd and Malaysian public transport firm Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, which will operate the Johor Bahru-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link Service. We took stock of the progress of the RTS Link Project, which is targeted to commence passenger service by end 2026. The RTS Link is an important bilateral project, which will enhance connectivity between Singapore and Johor Bahru. Singaporeans and Malaysians are looking forward to the RTS, and it will further strengthen our business linkages and people-to-people ties. Thank you to the project teams from both countries, and please keep up the excellent teamwork for this project!
