The second issue of the bi-weekly FridsonVision High Yield Strategy introduces a brand-new active management strategy based on relative value of maturity baskets. Portfolio managers can exploit it either by altering their maturity mix or by shifting to bonds of the same issuers they already like, but in better-valued maturities. To learn how to profit from these exciting new findings, go to www.fridson.com and select Subscribe.

Happy to share that my paper "Equity Return Expectations and Portfolios: Evidence from Large Asset Managers" joint with Magnus Dahlquist is published in the June issue of the Review of Financial Studies. We collect large asset managers' capital market assumptions, and find that large asset managers have countercyclical return expectations and act on them. Check out the paper here https://lnkd.in/eJR5vVeJ ! Replication code and data can be found here: https://lnkd.in/e_HN86PW

Absolute Connect Webinar | ASSET ALLOCATION FOCUS - Funky Correlations & Missing Links We are delighted to invite you to join our weekly 30mins Absolute Connect Webinar: Asset Allocation Focus on "Funky Correlations & Missing Links" presented by ASR's Co-founder & Head of Research, David Bowers on Friday 7th June. In this “Absolute Connect” webinar, David will discuss his most recent Funky Correlations & Missing Links #13 publication. The report showcases 47 of the best long-run relationships both between ‘macro’ and ‘markets’, and between different asset classes. The main purpose is to provide investors with a series of charts that give them some long-run context to what is happening in markets today. This latest edition expands on the use of output gaps when thinking about asset allocation, and applies the approach to Japanese financial markets. We have also added a new section on risk – which is both provocative and relevant. We also take a step back to ‘think the unthinkable’, namely what geopolitical events might derail some of the relationships that have lasted for more than 20 years. ASR Clients will have received this invitation via email: please check your email inbox for further details and the registration link. For all other institutional investors who do not currently have a subscription to ASR, but are interested in a short, free trial, including access to this and other weekly Webinars, please contact our Sales team: https://lnkd.in/drYZWGy #webinar #macro #research
