Inspired by a historical event in the Indian state of Jharkhand, "Janishikar" immerses players in a rich and engaging narrative. Players step into the shoes of Nagi, a young and agile warrior of her tribe, who courageously fights to defend her home from invaders during an important festival. Nagi's initial task is to protect her village, showcasing her bravery and determination. In the upcoming update, as Nagi the protagonist delves deeper into the circumstances surrounding the attack, she uncovers unsettling information that leads her down a rabbit hole of discovery. This new development promises to add layers of intrigue and excitement to the game's storyline. Colours are an integral part of games used as components in the puzzle, an indicator of the state of the game, or differentiating different teams. The game is based on the dialogue between light and darkness, therefore, lighting serves a pivotal role in the storytelling, gameplay, and esthetics. 🌗🌘 In this video captured inside our Unity project, you can see the process of designing lighting by 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙨 in the scene to achieve the desired look. 💡💡 To meet the performance requirement, we decided to 𝙠𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙛𝙡𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙧𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙞𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙗𝙮 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩. During some sequences, the player is called to turn on the lights in the map to defeat the dark entities. Let’s talk about inclusivity in games.   How often do we get to play a game as a character in a wheelchair these days? I feel like it’s not happening often enough.   How often do you see a game where you can select a wheelchair as a customization item for your character?   How about a game where you get to make this choice and participate in 10+ different activities that are all designed to fully support both characters with and without wheelchairs?   At Sumdog I had a chance to create just that. As we started working on the new Sumdog avatar in early 2022, we decided to include the wheelchair as a customization option. I was in charge of the initial wheelchair implementation. Grateful for the collaborative effort and significant contribution of my colleague Marcus Ansley who helped bring this project to life.   I think, the work that we did puts Sumdog in a unique position. I have not seen it done anywhere else to this extent. The choice to use a wheelchair carries over into every possible context: avatar editor, house and garden, profile page, friends’ pages, and, of course, mini-games.   I hope this feature brings joy to the young users of Sumdog and allows them to be better represented in games.   If you know any other games or applications that feature wheelchairs or similar assistive gear, please let me know.
