Next Gen leaders meet up #2 highlights. A few months ago I started a new group. It is designed for future/current leaders in our community to have a round table discussions about their business. This session was centered around this qoute: “The vision for the business needs to be big enough that smart people’s dreams can fit inside of it” - Alex Hormozi. Here are the topics we covered: - Casting vision… is it big enough? - Goal setting… what is success? - Creating culture… is business eventually people management? Here is what I learned: - Cast vision for both the short term and long term. - If you are setting a 10-year goal, make it bigger than you think. You underestimate what you can achieve in 10 years. - Many guys’ goal was to stay consistent with the people and things they valued over the next 10 years. - You will have to pay for good workers, but many people are motivated by having a voice at the leadership table. - Growth without purpose is cancer… be intentional about how you grow. - Have a chassis that is prepared for growth, or you will break the company with growth. - - I have loved my time with these guys… I have enjoyed the hunger and curiosity that they have.
