Formworks for CROWN WALLS. Today, we want to share our extensive experience in constructing Crown Walls for maritime ports, a key component of the protective works that shield port infrastructures from the waves. 1. Support Flexibility - From a prefabricated box to an earth fill on a slope, our formworks are designed to perfectly adapt to the chosen support base, ensuring stability and strength. 2. Modular Design - Depending on the final height of the breakwater, we can design formworks that allow for concreting in one or several phases. This flexibility ensures an efficient construction process tailored to the project's needs. 3. Customized Crown Walls - Whether it’s a solid crown wall for maximum robustness or a hollow one to house pipelines, storage rooms, or other facilities, our solutions are designed to maximize functionality and space utilization. With each project, Rúbrica Engineering is committed to offering innovative solutions tailored to the needs of each client. Build with Confidence; Rely on our Experience. #CivilEngineering #Formworks #Construction #MaritimePorts

🔹 Understanding Reinforcement in Staircase Design! 🔹 Reinforcement plays a crucial role in ensuring the strength and durability of staircases. In this video, I have demonstrated the different types of reinforcement used in steps, including: ✅ Top Main Bars – For handling tensile forces ✅ Bottom Bars – To support compression ✅ Distribution Bars – To enhance the shear strength of concrete members ✅ Nosings Bars – To improve the safety of the staircase ✅ Splice – To reduce the height of the staircase to fit through obstacles A well-designed reinforcement layout not only enhances structural integrity but also improves safety and longevity. Watch the video and share your thoughts! Have you encountered any unique reinforcement techniques in staircase construction? Let’s discuss in the comments! #StructuralEngineering #Reinforcement #StaircaseDesign #CivilEngineering #Construction

Achieving Flawless Concrete Flooring: From TM Pouring to Mechanized Finishing The video highlights an advanced, efficient process for achieving superior concrete flooring. It starts with a Transit Mixer (TM) pouring concrete to ensure a consistent and controlled flow. An automatic leveller follows, spreading and leveling the concrete for uniformity. Next, a hardener topping is applied over the surface, enhancing durability and abrasion resistance. Non-metallic hardener is then sprayed to further strengthen the floor. Mechanized floaters complete the process, delivering a smooth, polished finish. This seamless method minimizes manual effort while optimizing time, quality, and efficiency, showcasing the cutting-edge innovations in modern construction for high-performance flooring solutions. video rights : Respective owners #flooring #concrete #technology #engineering #architecture #civilengineering #engenharia #engenhariacivil #construction #civilconstruction #engenheiro #engenheirocivil #ingeniero #ingenierocivil

Do You Know Why???👇👇👇 **Correct and Incorrect Ways to Arrange Tiles or Bricks** In the top image marked with a red cross, you can see the vertical joints are misaligned. This can weaken the structure. In the bottom image marked with a green check, the staggered joints distribute the weight more evenly and improve structural integrity. Paying attention to these small details can make a significant difference in the quality of construction. Work correctly to ensure strength and stability. #CivilEngineering #Construction #BuildingTips #StructuralIntegrity #Engineering #75dayschallenges #day41 #postbyroshan

What are Roof Trusses? 🏗 Roof trusses are strong, rigid frames made from wood members and metal plates, designed like triangles. These geometric designs support the roof and roofing materials, just like the principles used in bridge construction. 🌲 #RoofTrussesExplained #StructuralDesign #Engineering #BuildingBlocks

🔩🏗️ Navigating Fixings in New and Existing Concrete Structures 🏗️🔩 In new build concrete structures, the option to use cast-in fixings is straightforward. But what about when we’re retrofitting existing structures? The concrete is already there, often standing the test of time for decades. In our latest case study, we explored a building that has been standing strong for the last 60 years. When selecting fixings and designing connections, numerous factors come into play, from edge clearance distances to the precise location of rebars within the existing concrete. These considerations are critical not just for existing buildings but are equally vital for new builds. Most new rainscreen facades rely on expansion anchors and chemical anchors, but there’s more to the story. In our Retrofitting Brutalism course, we also delve into the use of screw anchors, highlighting instances where these are appropriate in facade design. Understanding the nuances of fixings and connections is essential for both new and existing structures. Join us in exploring the best practices and innovative solutions that ensure robust and reliable facades. 📽️ Take the course to dive deeper into this topic and enhance your understanding of facade engineering in both new and retrofit projects.
