At World Savvy we think a lot about the pace of change, and the opportunities and challenges it represents for everyone -- especially young learners. Against a backdrop of increasing division and stagnation in our political and civic landscapes, more and more we recognize the pressing need for a fresh approach to education. Over the years, countless collaborators have inspired our vision to re-imagine #K12education for a more inclusive, equitable and future-ready system. To build a thriving multiethnic and multicultural democracy, we’ve got to empower individuals with the skills and mindset to think critically, navigate complexity, lead with empathy and champion inclusive solutions. As I enter the last year of my CEO role, I think daily about what an honor it has been to be on this transformative journey with so many brilliant thinkers and DOERS. And the work is far from done: let's equip the next gen for the challenges ahead and strive for a society where all can thrive. Too many critical supporters to include but I’ve tagged just a few of you who have shaped, nurtured and supported our work! #worldsavvyeducation #globalcompetence #K12education #learninginnovation #changemakers #InclusiveSolutions https://lnkd.in/g4mtDJQV Hamse Warfa Edward Wang Xin L. A month ago I took time to self center, exit from day to day, and reflect. I signed up for a 1440 Multiversity course being led by a woman I look up to greatly and has continued to make space for me in places that I wouldn’t otherwise normally be, Tricia Montalvo Timm. The goal was to look at how being my true self is an asset and how my story is influential and needed. Classes were thought provoking and full of heavy work as Tricia guided us through course material. We mapped our entire lives and classified milestones as neutral, positive or negative. We talked about how perfectionism is born out of a scarcity mindset as immigrant families’ main goal is security above self actualization. We talked about actionable goals to reach for and balance the buckets of our lives. In contrast, walking campus during breaks was inspiring because I had time to slow down to look at nature and felt grateful to be born and raised in such a beautiful part of the world. I was, as always, thankful for my family that migrated here chasing the crops, chasing work, and set down roots. I walked the labyrinth at the edge of the redwood grove, ate from the gardens on campus, soaked in a saltwater hot tub under the stars while talking to other women in leadership about how one is able to live in all their multiplicities. Taking time to slow down and just listen to a creek, hug a tree, smile at a lizard in your path or laugh at how the lavender bends when a fluffy bee tries to land. I felt reconnected to land and shed some of the panic I live in. The sound healing and guided forest bathing sessions def helped. Thoughts I walked away with are: - I’m shiny no matter where I go - I’m young but that doesn’t discount my natural leadership ability - I need to get out of kelp and swim (I’m a fish in this case) - it’s okay to do both things (design and community work) - being myself is my biggest asset If you live in the greater Bay Area or Northern California I urge you to look into 1440’s offerings and take time to put yourself first. And follow Tricia as she is who I hope to be someday. Abrazos y fuerza. #1440Multiversity #Leadership #Wellness

🌱 "Age is Just a Number: True Growth Happens When We Learn from Each Other" 🌟 In a world rich with diversity, we often find that growth isn't about age or experience alone; it’s about our willingness to learn from those around us. When we let go of preconceptions tied to age, we open the door to deeper understanding and mutual growth. Age may just be a number, but the knowledge, insights, and perspectives we share shape who we are and who we become. Here’s why learning from each other matters more than any number on a calendar! 🔥✨ 1. Mutual Growth: Learning from others—regardless of age—broadens our perspectives, making us wiser and more adaptable. 2. Fresh Perspectives: Younger people often bring innovation and creativity, while older generations bring wisdom and experience. 3. Breaking Stereotypes: True connection happens when we view others as individuals, not as stereotypes defined by age. 💡 4. Strength in Diversity: Different ages mean varied life experiences, which can enrich conversations and solutions to challenges. 5. Mentorship and Reverse Mentorship: While older people can offer life lessons, younger generations can introduce new skills and insights. 6. Empathy & Understanding: Learning from others fosters empathy, bridging generational gaps with understanding and respect. 🤝 7. Collaborative Success: When we learn from each other, we create a collaborative environment where everyone contributes to a shared success. #AgeIsJustANumber #LearnFromEachOther #GrowthMindset #GenerationalWisdom #EmpathyInAction #LifelongLearning #TogetherWeGrow

Extremely powerful and inspiring video by #barbie The dream gap! Sounds familiar for many girls / women who stop realizing their true potential as they surrender to the conditioning and limitations of what they hear from their surrounding. At ACG World we belive that a dialogue has the potential to create a new experience, a new story, an ability to think, work and live differently. A dialogue that can help one provide an access to believing in their dreams. No matter how audacious they sound to the world. As a part of #Spectrum our curated series of conversation circles around Beyond Differences, Intergenerational dialogue, My stereotypes and Me awareness series. Not only provides an access to the limitations of one's world but also enables the person to open new doors within themselves where fresh perspectives can be nurtured. One can only change what is known, for what's unknown does not have the privilege of change. Does your organization create space where you can rise above the boundaries you have defined for yourself? Growth always knocks on the otherside of the boundaried wall! Doing our bit to fill the #dreamgap #breakingboundaries #change #leadership #diversityandinclusion #growth #expand #organizationdevelopment #makeitbetter

Ever since I can remember, I've championed one core belief: "Unleash the power that lies within and believe in yourself." This isn't just a mantra; it's a call to action—a reminder that each of us harbours a hidden purpose, a unique gift waiting to be discovered and embraced. And once we unearth this purpose, we are tasked with living it out, fully and passionately. Why? Because we are here for a reason. Our presence in this world isn't random or without direction. Inside every one of us is a potential so vast and transformative that, once tapped into, can lead to unimaginable growth and fulfillment. It's about more than just finding what we are good at; it's about discovering what moves us, what drives us forward, and what makes us leap out of bed each morning with a fire in our hearts. So, I say to you, as I've said before, let's do this. Let's commit to this journey of self-discovery and empowerment together. Let's peel away the layers of doubt, fear, and hesitation that have kept us from truly meeting ourselves. It's time to confront our dreams, to stare them down until they become our reality. We are meant for great things—of this, I am certain. Now, let's prove it to ourselves and the world. #EmpowHer #Eduvate #OxfordianCollege #Vasper #Tycoon #QBN #WomenEmpowerment #SelfDiscovery #FindYourPurpose #LiveYourDreams #SheInspires #WomenInLeadership #BeTheChange #StrongerTogether Facebook- Let's connect, collaborate, and EmpowHer success globally! https://lnkd.in/eX6njZpc YouTube- https://lnkd.in/eYYqc2wB
