A special evening with: ▶ Networking: the evening brought the perfect opportunity for Impact Startups from our region to meet and connect. Informal conversations in a relaxed atmosphere opened the door to new collaborations and conversations about "how do you do this?". ▶ The power of the region: we had the chance to give the alderman an insight into the promising developments our region has to offer. A unique opportunity to shine the spotlight on the startups that are intrinsically motivated to make a difference for people and society. ▶ "Brabantse gezelligheid": not unimportantly, it was also just incredibly fun! 📣 According to this recent Consultancy.nl article, the number of #startups in Brabant has grown considerably in recent years, and they raised much more funding, according to research by Birch. The Brainport region maintains its place in the top three Dutch startup hubs. 💪 📈 The number of Brabant startups grew from 1,200 to 1,462 since 2020, an increase of almost 22%. Only North Holland (3,125) and South Holland (1,706) have more startups. In 2020, 13% of all Dutch startups came from North Brabant. That number grew to 16%. 💶 In addition, investments in Brabant startups have increased significantly: €369 million were invested between 2016 and 2019. Between 2020 and 2023, investment grew exponentially to €1.3 billion – nearly four times as the previous four years. 🚀 From the article: “Given the important role of high-tech and deep tech, it will come as no surprise that Brainport Eindhoven is still regarded as the beating heart of the Brabant startup world.” Birch conducted the research on behalf of BRAVENTURE, a non-profit partnership committed to the Brabant startup ecosystem. It's time again for innovative ideas in Ticino: start-ups can now register for the Boldbrain Startup Challenge. The IPI is supporting the programme.   Boldbrain Startup Challenge is an accelerator for early-stage startups and entrepreneurs with innovative ideas.
