Last summer we soft-launched our beta program and got 80 signups overnight. Here’s how we did it 👇 We didn’t ‘go out there’ and sell to anyone. We just wanted to test some traction, shared a (janky) signup link with 8 friends and asked them to share with some friends. Next morning I find myself (on high adrenaline) figuring out what to do with all these sign-ups 🤯 Why did MOXIE get this traction? Because I finally shifted my mindset. I spent years validating different business ideas and wasting sleep over market research. I was about to take a break from it, when it suddenly hit me. I had to shift my mindset: 🙅♀️ from finding a solution ✅ to finding a problem Finding a problem that was close to my heart, wasn’t difficult at all. Navigating your career in the first decade is tough. Navigating it as a woman in industries where you don’t see lots of other women is even tougher. I wish MOXIE would have been there when I was making it through my first promotions and major career moments. And apparently I’m not alone. Obviously we’re yet to find out what MOXIE’s growth trajectory will look like, but our initial traction shows me that women all over the world are looking for a career playbook and role models to identify with to grow their career. We faced some serious challenges that tested our mettle and proved just how tough we are. It was a rollercoaster, folks, and it was absolutely incredible! Even with our dream team assembled, we hit some rough patches. Not everyone got our mission right away. Can you believe it? Sometimes, the people you least expect can turn out to be absolute stars. We took a gamble on some individuals who seemed like long shots. Others doubted them, but we saw something special. And let me tell you—those individuals proved everyone wrong. They stepped up, delivered, and became some of our biggest assets. It was a phenomenal turnaround, a true testament to the power of giving people a chance. And the challenges? Oh, they were something else. We faced setbacks, obstacles, and moments when it felt like the universe was against us. There were late nights, high-stress meetings, and intense pressure. But guess what? We didn’t back down. We fought through every difficulty, turning every setback into a setup for a comeback. It was tough, but we emerged stronger and more determined than ever. Our team showed unbelievable resilience. We tackled every problem with ingenuity and grit. We proved that no matter what came our way, we had the strength to overcome it. It wasn’t just about getting through the tough times—it was about thriving despite them.
