Over in my work for Single Parent Rights, we are developing a single parent policy for schools with ideas from our members. It's still a work in progress so I'd love to get more feedback from: 👉Single parents 👉People working in schools 👉Those working in Diversity and Inclusion There are ideas around: ✅Language and tone: free from judgement ✅Care and clubs: single parent priority access ✅School uniforms: pre loved schemes, borrow boxes and limited branded items ✅Parent conferences: separate for both parents where needed ✅Fees: payment brackets ✅Diversity and Inclusion: training for teachers ✅Special days: being as inclusive as possible ✅Building community: establishing single parent groups within the school These - and many others - are fleshed out in the policy document. 👇 You can download it from the Single Parent Rights website here (scroll down to the 'become a single parent inclusive school' button). 👇 🔗https://lnkd.in/etFib7BP

Just a thought Ruth, at some stage would you seek/welcome input from kids of single parents? I don’t know how you would get this but just what popped into my head!
