Veterans have a special bond with one another. It is not something that many non-veterans can understand. We did not do what we did for glory or fame, but because there was a calling in our soul that led us down the path of service. No matter how long we served or where we served, we can find a connection with each other. It is not about being thanked for our service or the freebies that are offered today or other days. When we walk into a room, we have this natural ability to connect with one another even if we served decades a part. Listen to the stories when we open up to one another and you will see commonality. There is comfort in talking about the things that we do not tell anyone else. To all my fellow Veterans out there, I wish you the best Veterans Day and rest of your year.
