A recent study by BCBS highlights that over half of patients prescribed Wegovy and Saxenda discontinue treatment early, limiting effectiveness. This underscores the importance of patient adherence for achieving weight loss goals. At RPM Healthcare, we are dedicated to improving outcomes through our Weight Management Program, which supports pre-authorizations and patient adherence. For those who don't qualify for medications, our lifestyle modules, care coaches, and interactive communications offer significant support. This is a timely post: The PBM model is a 'dead man walking.' What comes next? Take a look and let me know what you think. It is timely because I wrote my blog post for the week of 10/21 on my experience with my PBM. My solution is to involve people (patients and caregivers) in the process. PEOPLE are the ones totally forgotten in this money-driven healthcare system. Here is the link to review. https://lnkd.in/ek8bCstz. Let me know your thoughts

💡 What CMS’s proposed reimbursement codes could mean for the digital therapeutics industry The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Services (#CMS) has proposed new #CPT payment codes for #DigitalTherapeutics, marking a significant step towards widespread reimbursement for the #DTx products. Previously, CMS introduced Level II #HCPCs codes for behavioral health digital therapeutics, which mainly applied to Medicare and Medicaid. The new CPT codes, applicable to all payers, could significantly expand coverage. The proposed codes (GMBT1, GMBT2, and GMBT3) allow physicians to bill for digital therapeutics similarly to how they bill for vaccines, covering initial provision, patient education, and ongoing management services. Susanne Gruber, #DTx Channel #Ambassador, comments 👇 Payer coverage is needed for a scaleable and sustainable reimbursement business model. This introduction of new CPT payment codes for DTx applicable to all payers is another step to make this GoToMarket pathway more attractive. Compensation of HCPs for explaining the DTx and monitoring the patients' data will surely drive the HCP adoption. But, why only for mental health conditions? I hope this is a clear support of DTx and that it won't take too long to expand it to other TAs. ✔ There is more news, comments, analyses & #competitor and #market trends on Allis.Health, the global analyst platform for the #digitalhealth & healthcare industry. 🌐https://allis.health/ Want to explore further? 💡 Contact us at hello@allis.health to arrange a demo session and get started with a free trial. #digitalhealth #DTx #digitaltherapeutics #marketinsights

340B can be a powerful tool for healthcare equity by creating a ripple effect where drug savings for safety-net providers translate into expanded services and healthier communities. As technology to manage drug discounts bridges the gap between 340B and even MDRP, a more streamlined system could be effective in unlocking the program's full potential, allowing cost savings to flow directly to patients and fuel further progress in affordable care. #340B #Healthcare #MDRP
