Here's a topic I've heard lots of conversation about, from those with no direct experience, to frontline workers who work fulltime in addictions and harm reduction. The questions are often how do we address the opioid crisis that Canada faces (and substance addiction in general) while also maintaining public safety? Anecdotally, the feedback I hear is that the safe sites aren't doing anything to solve or even mitigate the issue.
