Reflecting this morning on some core Cohere Health values which help me bring focus, gratefulness and optimism to my work week. U.S. Healthcare is complex and certainly easy to criticize given its for profit nature and obvious quality failures. Working for a company who's ultimately responsible for authorizing patient care and insuring care quality puts Cohere tech in a real position to effect change. Couple non-negotiables for us: 1. We use tech/AI to make life easier for patients and providers, reducing care delays and helping to insure care quality. 2. Our board certified physicians are world class professionals who are all on a mission to enable better care decisions and better patient outcomes. 3. We never deny care using AI or tech. We support the appropriate "yes", and remove the administrative barriers to "yes". Though our work, we hope to help change perceptions around Insurances role in the delivery system. I've seen Cohere in action, we're delivering on our values everyday. The only thing that keeps me up at night is knowing Healthcare institutions are moving too slowly to adopt these next-gen capabilities. In light of recent events, I'm happy to be part of the solution, not the problem.

When I started Conscious Healthcare SA, it was with a vision that went beyond just business growth or seizing an industry opportunity. I saw a healthcare sector at a crossroads, especially within the disability services spurred by the NDIS expansion. It was becoming a field where quantity threatened to overshadow quality, where care felt more transactional than personal. As I navigated the early days of my venture, I was driven by a simple yet profound question: Would I provide this service to one of my loved ones? If the answer was no, it was back to the drawing board. This principle became the bedrock of our mission, propelling us forward. In just three months, we turned a bold idea into a thriving reality, not measured in dollars but in the depth of impact and the quality of care we were able to provide. The rapid growth from a one-person start-up to a dedicated team of 25 allied health professionals is a testament to our commitment to excellence and to each other. But success in numbers was never the goal. I entered this industry to make a difference, to challenge the status quo and to introduce a model of care that values impact over income. This vision led us to a crucial pivot, one that saw us redefine value in healthcare by recognising and rewarding experience and expertise, not just time spent. Our approach is built on three foundational pillars: Autonomy Mastery Purpose We empower our team with the autonomy to shape their work and impact, supported by a culture of accountability. Mastery is pursued through continuous learning, feedback, and personal development, ensuring each of us grows not just as professionals but as individuals. And at the heart of it all is purpose – the driving force that motivates us to deliver care that truly makes a difference. I'm proud of what we've built at Conscious Healthcare SA, but the journey doesn't stop here. I invite you to join the conversation, to share your experiences, aspirations, and insights. What drove you to enter your field? Has the reality lived up to your expectations? Your stories inspire us to keep pushing boundaries and to keep striving for a healthcare system that prioritises quality, compassion, and impact. #ConsciousHealthcareSA #HealthcareRevolution #PurposeDrivenCare #ImpactOverIncome

Dream big, work hard, stay focused, and surround yourself with good people." Healthcare doesn’t need more heroes. That might sound harsh, but hear me out. 💙The NHS is full of incredible people who go above and beyond every single day. But here’s the problem: We’ve built a culture where going above and beyond is expected—where overworking, sacrificing personal time, and "pushing through" is seen as normal. And I think that’s dangerous. ❌Because it’s not sustainable. And it’s burning us out. Recently, I had a conversation with a GP trainee who said: "I feel guilty leaving on time. I don’t want anyone to think I’m not committed." That broke my heart. Because I’ve been there. We’ve created an environment where taking care of ourselves feels like letting the team down. Here’s my unpopular opinion: We don’t need more heroes. We need better systems. ➡️We need leadership that says, “It’s okay to set boundaries.” ➡️We need to stop rewarding exhaustion and start valuing efficiency, innovation, and teamwork. Yes, I’m proud of what we’ve achieved at my practice—rapid patient growth, ranking #1 on Google, and a reputation for delivering exceptional care. But I’m prouder of the fact that we’re trying to do it differently. We’ve started conversations about workload. We’re rethinking what “success” looks like—not just for our patients, but for our team. And I’ll be honest: It hasn’t been easy. Changing culture rarely is. But I believe this shift is essential if we want to keep the NHS strong—and its people even stronger. So, here’s my question to you: ❓What’s one heroic behaviour we could let go of to build a healthier, more sustainable healthcare system? 💬I’d love to hear your thoughts. #primarycare #Elmtree #healthcareconsulting

It is easy to focus on numbers, metrics, and systems in healthcare, but what truly stays with me are the stories of people we serve. A few years ago, I received a call from the daughter of a patient who was using our home healthcare services. She said, “You are not just sending a nurse or a caregiver; you are sending peace of mind to my family.” That one line changed how I looked at our work. It made me realise that what we deliver goes far beyond treatments or equipment. We are delivering care, dignity, and trust during some of life’s most fragile moments. Running a healthcare company is about valuing the people at every touchpoint—patients, families, and even our teams. When patients feel heard and families feel supported, something extraordinary happens: they trust us completely. That trust fuels everything we do. Over the years, I have seen that same principle apply to our teams. When employees feel valued, their commitment and effort multiply. When we create an environment where they know their work has meaning, they do their best because they believe in the mission. When you care, it shows—and that can change everything. #leadership #mindset #growth #success #team #impact #purpose

Sometimes life presents us with unexpected opportunities, even when we're not actively seeking them. My initial foray into healthcare swiftly transformed into a rewarding experience. It wasn't long before I had my 'lightbulb' moment, realizing how seemingly small actions can profoundly impact individuals. I then discovered that these impacts can multiply, creating a significant difference on a broader scale. This realization fuels my passion and drives me to continue making a meaningful impact in what I do. 👩⚕️ 👨⚕️🥼🩺 A Reflection On this National Doctors' Day, recently I had the privilege of hosting a dinner with a group of dedicated physicians, and amidst the celebration, an important conversation unfolded. Amidst the accolades for their #compassion and hard work, I couldn't ignore the #frustration resonating among my esteemed colleagues. The rigidity of their schedules, the lack of flexibility, and the oversight in administrative decisions were tangible concerns. It's imperative that we not only acknowledge their sacrifices but also address the #systemic #challenges they face. It's time to listen to their voices in #designing #processes, #workflows, and #implementing new technologies. Few of these visionary doctors are already contemplating a shift towards a direct-to-consumer model, or altogether looking to alternative options prioritizing flexibility over rigidity. Let's honor our #doctors not just with #words but with #actions that #empower them to #thrive. #nationaldoctorsday #EmpowerDoctors #FlexibilityInHealthcare 🩺
