Saahas Zero Waste’s Post

Seeing our MRFs through the lens of reciprocity On Saturday last week, we had a small group of young professionals visit our Materials Recovery Facility in Goa, Nessai. The interaction was special. The fact that we see people make efforts to understand the different solutions in waste and the tedious process involved in bringing resources back to nature.  Reciprocity is now a word closely connected with giving back to nature. We are glad to see our MRF become a means of giving back. Our MRF, in Goa is integrated into project SAIM, a collaboration between WWF-India and Saahas Zero Waste. Sitting amidst the different waste streams which have been sorted and aggregated, the MRF takes on the shape of new system that we need to build to address waste management. The conversations soon flowed to related subjects which are part of the systemic change that we are looking to build. Foremost was the responsibility that we now have as consumers. The responsibility to reduce, to choose refill and repair. Most importantly the responsibility that we have to bring voices to our choices in a manner where industry and government is forced to listen. #goa #panjim #resourcerecovery #bulkwastegenerators #wastemanagement  #margao

The waste plastic latest technology is continuous pyrolysis. the machine no need to stop to waiting .feeding materials each hours is 2-3tons . and continue working 40-60days. we can get the fuel oil from the waste plastic. and get the gas too. carbon black.50tons per day.15000Tons per year per set. So how to treat these big amount plastic. Only the way is pyrolysis. and big capacity treat is continuous pyrolysis technology. What we can get from waste plastic after pyrolysis. 1.Pyrolysis Oil 40-90% can make Diesel gasoline. 2.Carbon black: can be fuel as coal. 3.Pyrolysis gas. simialr the nature gas. MSW most is plastic.like PE.PP.LDPE.HDPE PA66.PS.PMMA.

We urge tourists coming to Goa to do a due diligence on the waste management facilities practiced at their place of stay. It would help if the hospitality sector invested in a compliant waste management system.

It was lovely to do this with you in Goa! Let’s do more of these in 2025 💪

This is such an inspiring initiative! Educating young professionals about the processes and challenges of resource recovery is a great way to build awareness and responsibility. The focus on reciprocity and systemic change is key to creating a sustainable future. Keep up the fantastic work!
