Dear HR and Hiring Team, I understand that managing a large number of applications can be challenging, but I believe it's important for the hiring team to let candidates know where they stand. Even if you receive hundreds of applications or CVs and publicly asking for them, it's crucial to communicate whether someone is being considered or not. The hiring team has the experience and enough resources or employees to make this happen, unless you do not have employees who actually speak the language. Respecting the effort candidates put into applying not only improves the hiring experience but also reflects on the overall company culture. If you can't provide a good experience for your potential employee's, how can you train your team to provide the best experience for your current employees and customers? #Hiring #HR #FoodForThought #Communication #GoTheExtraMile #TimeForImprovements

Feeling Exhausted as a Solo HR Rep in Manufacturing? Help! Answers: https://lnkd.in/gP7y9DhK #HRCommunity #WorkLifeBalance #RecruitmentStruggles #HRLife Hey there, fellow HR pros! 🙋♀️ Is anyone else feeling completely drained from this rollercoaster ride we call recruitment? After a decade in the game, often as a one-woman band, I know how cyclical market demands can be. Right now, recruitment feels like wading through mud! I mean, how often do we find ourselves in a dry spell where interviews seem to vanish, responses to our outreach take ages (2-3 tries sometimes!), and our inboxes are flooded with irrelevant resumes from candidates simply looking for any job? 😩 Currently, I’m juggling an impressive (and exhausting) 14 job openings while sifting through about 50 resumes daily—all for a company with just 140 employees! Alongside that, I’m also handling: Benefits enrollments and education 📚 Employee assistance and support 💬 Managing PFML (Paid Family and Medical Leave) policies 📅 Organizing monthly events and celebrations 🎉 Sending out gifts and sympathy flowers when needed 🌼 Conducting wage and market analysis 💰 Keeping job postings fresh and relevant ...

Many job applicants often overlook this aspect, but for HR personnel, it's crucial in the hiring process because it's the first step for the company to get to know us and can make a lasting impression. First and foremost, we should sit up straight, offer a slight smile, not a grimace, as if we're welcoming guests. We want others to feel comfortable talking to us. When introducing ourselves, we should speak with confidence, use healthy language, be concise and easy to understand, and not take up too much time as the listener may become bored. We should mention our name, age, education, special skills, current job responsibilities, relevant experience, and how we think we can contribute to the company's development. #development #job #experience #company #impression

Life Cycle of an HR! - Hi, we are hiring, know anyone who might be interested? - Interview setup, candidate didn't show up, - Candidate showed up, manager didn't like the candidate, - Manager liked the candidate, but the candidate's ask was higher than the budget, - Found a candidate under budget, didn't join, - The one that joined, didn't like the manager and left - Hello we are hiring, know anyone who might be interested? #hiring #hr #recruitment #corporate

This is my reaction when you forget this one thing in your job descriptions. Essential job functions? Check. Duties and responsibilities? They’re in there. Salary and benefits info? You bet. But what about…the culture? Communicating your culture can look like: ➡️ Including your mission, vision, and values ➡️ How you support your employees, like additional training, unique benefits, or flexibility ➡️ Describing company achievements and new efforts at the company It may seem like more work on your part, but going that extra step can really attract the right candidates. Without it, you could miss out on the hire of a lifetime! What else should you put in a job description to really make it pop? What do you think? ⭐ #hiring #HR #jobdescription #culture #recruiting

#InternalCandidates #HiringProcess #HRInsights #CareerDevelopment Hey everyone! 😊 I wanted to spark a conversation about navigating the tricky waters of handling internal candidates who apply for positions but just don’t quite meet the minimum qualifications. This can be a sensitive issue, and I’m curious about your experiences and strategies. Here are a few points to consider: Involvement of HR: Do you think it’s best for HR to step in during the process, or should the hiring manager/supervisor take the lead on communications? 🤔 HR can help ensure that everything is handled fairly, but sometimes it might be more comfortable coming directly from the manager. Interviewing Unqualified Candidates: Is it worthwhile to interview these candidates just to hear them out? On one hand, it can show that you value their interest, but on the other, it might set unrealistic expectations. How do you balance that? Timing of the Notification: When do you typically let them know that they don’t ... How to Address Unqualified Internal Candidates for Promotions? Answers: https://lnkd.in/g4APJS3i Let's Connect!
