"The state of western media: Israel levels Gaza, kills 10,000s of Palestinians and starves 2m there: 'No escalation'. Israel violates Lebanese and Iranian sovereignty to murder their leaders: 'No escalation'. Israel kills over 1,000 Lebanese, then invades Lebanon: 'No escalation'. Iran fires 180 missiles at Israel, with no known Israeli casualties: 'Tehran sets the Middle East on fire with a dangerous escalation'." [End of quote] I am a pacifist because among other things Christ said, "Those who take the sword will perish by the sword." Also, the first New Testament command given to soliders who want to get right with God is when John the Baptist said, "Do violence to no man" (Luke 3:14), which includes enemy soldiers. However, though I deplore anybody's attempt to kill anybody else, still, there are degrees of iniquity, greater & lesser. And degrees matter. Yes, after great provocations, Iran finally retaliated militarily. At least, unlike Israel, all of Iran's targets would be considered legitimate military targets under traditional (alas, non-pacifistic) principles. It's a great contrast with Israel, who fiendishly carpet bombs civilians, their infrastructure, residences, hospitals, schools, refugee camps, people waiting in line for aid, etc. And is trying to starve 2 million Gazan civilians to death. Israel has already murdered dozens of Palestinian kids through starvation. Israel is fiendishly evil. So is the US for standing with Israel. And so are Zionists, including Christian Zionists, for supporting and excusing the evils of Israel's genocide, mass murder & war crimes. How can any of them escape the damnation of Hell? Repent now!

Sadly it took Chatham House more than 100 days and 30,000 Palestinian deaths (over 65% women and children amidst the grotesque genocidal war crimes committed from destroying almost all living essentials from hospitals to universities to refugee camps to mosques and churches and ongoing South Africa v Israel ICJ hearing on Israel violating genocide convention), to realise the tide of humanitarian conscience is taking a new turn. The Global South and majority of non-whites have been calling from day one for ceasefire. Hamas attacks as much as it is condemnable and never justifiable, “it did not happen in vacuum” as stated by the UN Secretary General, as many viewed a tragedy was about to happen while Israel continued with illegal occupation, land annexations, one of the worst inhumane blockade on Gaza with even food supplies and calories were being counted how much can be allowed to go in. Worse, Israel held over 10,000 Palestinians including hundreds of children as hostages by detaining them under sham military trials with 95% conviction rate, or even worse, thousands of Palestinians are held as hostages under administrative detentions without trial indefinitely—all before October 7 Hamas attack. More so, the international community (other than white-dominated West), including the UN—as per UN Secretary General, Hamas’ condemnable attacks did not happen in vacuum—Israel violated past ceasefires pre Oct 7 by allowing its extremist security minister sanctioning settler-terrorism in the West Bank to thrive with land annexations in West Bank (no Hamas there), murderous raids in Jenin, and pogroms ie Huwara, Masafer Yatta and IDF killing 500 Palestinian children between 2021-23 and forced displacement of Palestinians in occupied East Jerusalem before Oct 7 despite repeated Palestinian Hamas militant warning that its patience was running out as Israel has broken all previous ceasefire agreements by those grotesque periodic extra-judicial killings, displacements in Sheikh Jarrah and pogroms in West Bank and of course the occupation and inhumane blockade.

I feel whenever we open the news we always come across some form of geopolitical problem. This is relevant for the energy market. With Iran being one of the biggest exporters of oil, this news will only cause pricing to spike on energy costs - we have seen that with the Ukraine/Russia war and again with the Israel/Hamas war and let's not forget the Houthi rebels attacking shipping lanes off the coast of Yemen causing ships to then go round the horn of Africa. This has all led to higher prices for businesses in the UK. The solution is not that difficult.

I like how Mr. Mearsheimer explained in a most sober, clear and realistic way the situation that Palestine is experiencing, and the real involvement and goals of Israel in the commission of genocide, ethnic cleansing and war crimes, and how the pro-Israel lobby greatly influences American politics to encourage the unconditional support of Israel in its desire to annex the entire territory of Palestine, and how ultra-right sectors have infiltrated the Israeli government to control their neo-colonialist agenda with the support of Western countries such as the US, Europe, and Canada.
