"There's so much evidence of the value and the return that health centers bring. The Teaching Health Center program is more recent, but for the National Health Service Corps and the Health Center program specifically, we have decades of evidence of the impact -- clinically and economically,” Advocates for Community Health CEO Amanda Pears Kelly told Inside Health Policy on Wednesday (Nov. 20). “And so not only would it be ill-advised to somehow forget all of that, but the human harm that would come as a result of that is pretty massive.” ACH's statement on the Paragon Health Institute's Policy Brief was covered extensively in an interview with Inside Health Policy which was released today. Additionally, Pears Kelly said, "Ultimately, community health centers, the THCGME, and the NHSC are all programs that have historically garnered bipartisan support--and they should remain that way. That should be the focus -- coming together around them, not creating more division on something that is not in question and shouldn't be." 1 in 4. Remember this statistic. It’s the number of people who are served by Health Centers across the United States of America. Over the past 50 + years the movement has become more and more significant and quite frankly, critical. This movement is like no other. It’s about courage, fortitude, perseverance, and compassion. It’s not a job it’s a way of life. It’s about advocating for all. It’s about being a solution for the ills of the world. It’s about lifting up while strengthening America’s landscape. With just a little federal funding, every dime is stretched and generating 6 times over. The person wins, the employee wins, the local economy wins, the state wins, and more significantly, the nation wins. Special thanks to Congress and to all U.S. Presidents over the past 50 years who have allocated funding to this beautiful movement. We are super excited to support our team who sacrifice daily to ensure that the mission lives on. To all the leaders, employees, patients, and families we salute you. To all of the volunteer and consumer board members, your service matters. #NationalCHCWeek🎉 #HealthCentersBridgingGaps #Advocacy #AmericaWinsWithCHCs #CelebratingQualityinHealhcare #EVERYONEMATTERS #INCLUSIVCARES
📣 To kick off National Health Center Week, August 4-10, the White House issued a proclamation recognizing the key role Community Health Centers play in making sure health care is a right in this country, not a privilege: "Federally funded community health centers are a lifeline for over 30 million Americans nationwide — providing affordable access to quality medical, dental, and behavioral health services, which save lives. Community health center sites are especially critical for people in Tribal, rural, and underserved communities because they are often the closest and most convenient sources of care. During National Health Center Week, we recognize the importance of the nearly 1,400 federally funded community health centers that provide critical services to Americans. We express our gratitude to their dedicated staff, who tirelessly devote themselves to the well-being of their patients. And we recommit to ensuring that every American has access to good-quality, affordable health care." Read the full proclamation: https://lnkd.in/e4E4hyDv #NHCW24 #ValueCHCs

New Blog ➡ https://lnkd.in/eQ2Py-ak The Supreme Court's ruling in Becerra v. San Carlos Apache Tribe last week empowers Native American tribes by ensuring federal coverage of administrative costs for their healthcare programs. This landmark decision supports tribal self-determination and could provide significant financial benefits! To capitalize on this decision, tribes must act swiftly due to a six-year statute of limitations on claims. Read our blog post to learn more about how DAS Health can provide invaluable support to healthcare practices in this endeavor. #DASBlog #SupremeCourt #HealthIT #Healthcare

📈 California's county-based health plans are on the rise, serving as a cornerstone in managing care for Medi-Cal enrollees and more. These plans now cover 1 in 5 Californians! 🔍 Recent data shows a significant 10.4% enrollment increase in 2023, with 9.8 million members. This surge is largely attributed to continuous coverage policies during the COVID-19 emergency. 💰 Financially, these plans saw a $37 billion revenue in 2022, with a notable growth over the past two years. Their financial health is robust, with margins more than doubling since 2018. 🏥 The secret? A strategic balance of medical expense growth and revenue increase, ensuring a stronger, more resilient health care system for Californians.
